Wendy Marvell vs. Cursed Sandstorm is a fight fought between Mage of Fairy Tail, Wendy Marvell, and a Cursed Sandstorm.

PrologueEdit

After watching her do some small jobs around Magnolia, Natsu and Gray suggest to Wendy that she should accept more difficult jobs or one from a distant town. Wanting to prove her worth and help everyone in Fairy Tail, Wendy agrees. Hearing Wendy's determination, Mirajane gives her a request where she is to heal someone. When Wendy reads the request out loud, Natsu, Gray, Lucy and Happy are shocked when they realize that the client is Rabian, head of a drama group that had Team Natsu work for him. The four try to dissuade Wendy from accepting the job. Carla also joins in, saying that she has a bad feeling about it. Wendy insists on taking the job and Carla argues with her, saying that she will not accompany her if she did. Makarov stops Wendy from going, saying that he could not let her go on her own in some distant town. He then tells Freed and Happy to accompany her but warns them against using Magic unless it is necessary, in order for Wendy to learn.^[1]

The three then leaves while everyone watches them, worried. The group arrives at the station but finds that the train to Onibus is not running due to a breakdown. Wendy decides to walk instead and Freed and Happy follows her. As the three walk, they face misfortune after misfortune and end up in a desert famous for its cursed sandstorms. As they walk through the desert, Wendy senses a change in the atmosphere and realizes that a sandstorm is coming. Knowing that they can't hide from it, the three decide to run.^[1]

While running the group bumps into Lucy, Erza and Carla. The three followed them in order to make sure that Wendy is safe but Erza accidentally fell into a sink hole and Virgo is having a hard time saving her since she won't let go of her baggage. While the sandstorm approaches, Erza tells everyone to leave her behind but they refuse and tell her to let go of the heavy baggage she is carrying. Erza reluctantly follows them and Virgo is able to save her. However, the sandstorm is near enough that the group will not be able to run from it anymore. Knowing that they are trapped, Wendy decides to fight the sandstorm herself.^[1]

BattleEdit

Wendy uses her Sky Dragon's Roar to attack the Cursed Sandstorm who immediately vanishes.^[1]

AftermathEdit

After defeating the sandstorm, the group continues their journey to Onibus but find that Rabian already made up with his actors and is all better. Everyone (except Wendy and Carla) collapses due to exhaustion and frustration. Suddenly, Natsu arrives but collapses too for riding the train multiple times. Wendy feels disappointed with the result of her first big job but Carla cheers her up, saying that she should be proud of herself. Wendy agrees with her and smiles.^[1]
