Appearance
Edit

Added by ChaosKnightWar Cry is a pale-skinned, young, slim man with a very muscular abdomen. He has an elongated and rectangular face and nose, and is seen showing his teeth most of time, giving him a ferocious look. He has squared eyes with small dark pupils, thin eyebrows and no visible hair. His fingernails also seem to have been painted a dark color.[1]
War Cry's most characteristic feature is his dog-like cloak, which is colored beige and possesses a red mane, long ears and jaw, resembling an animal carpet made from the skin and fur of dead animals.[2] War Cry inserts his head inside the dog's mouth, hiding his hair, and his Guild Crest is localized on the back of the cloak. Aside from the cloak, War Cry wears only dark pants with rectangular white stripes, with the bottom of his pants stuffed into light-colored boots. On his wrists he wears long bands with tassels and stripes.[1]
Personality
Edit

Added by Miskos3War Cry, alongside the other members of his Guild, seems to be a rather aggressive and fierce man. He is usually seen standing in ferocious positions with his clenched teeth and arms raised, his fingers curled like claws. He is also seen making howl-like noises along with his other guild mates.[3] When utilizing his Tear Magic, however, War becomes a very emotional person, claiming that people can only become strong through tears.[4]

Grand Magic Games arc
Edit

Added by Miskos3War Cry, alongside Team Quatro Cerberus, passed the Grand Magic Games' preliminary event, Sky Labyrinth, in 7th place.[5] After cheering for Yaeger in the first event, he was chosen to participate in the first day's third battle against Orga Nanagear of Sabertooth. As War Cry faces Orga, he starts crying to initiate his Tear Magic but is immediately struck down by Orga, who knocks him out with only one spell.[6] Due to the "sorry state", his overwhelming defeat left him in, Bacchus decided to enter the Grand Magic Games, replacing him.[7]
After the Grand Magic Games have come to a close, the King of Fiore accumulates all of the Mages from all Guilds to acknowledge them of the impending disaster and what the Kingdom plans to do to combat against the calamity. The King continues on to request for their assistance against the remaining Dragons who survive from the Eclipse Plan, to which War Cry and the rest of the Mages all agree in unison.[8] War Cry is later seen with the rest of Quatro Cerberus and Mermaid Heel, awaiting the potential battle.[9]
Magic and Abilities
Edit

Added by DarkblueFlowTear Magic (涙魔法 Namida Mahō): War Cry, as his very name suggests with a pun, utilizes Tear Magic, focused around the use of his tears. He was shown able to start crying profusely in mere seconds, something which supposedly results in him becoming capable of casting spells. Such peculiar form of Magic seems to be renowned as particularly powerful and effective, having received praise from the likes of Sabertooth's Sting Eucliffe and Rufus, as well as from the former member of the Magic Council Yajima. The capability of this Magic, however, is completely unknown, as Orga Nanagear easily defeated War Cry before he had a chance to cast any spell at him. Nonetheless, Tear Magic was implied to possess effective offensive abilities, with Sting wondering whether Orga could dodge the attack War Cry was apparently readying.[4] In the anime, War Cry states that the more he cries, the stronger he gets; which somewhat relates to his Manga's statement that "only through tears one becomes stronger".[10]
