Blocked Edit

Antagonist You have been blocked from editing for changing spell page image sizes, with an expiry time of 1 week.

You are still allowed to edit your talk page, so if you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page.

  Rai  Talk     21:16,7/7/2012

Why did you block me?
There is no policy for resizing images.
They say the image's size is usually 200px, but it's not like a rule or anything.
Besides images at 200px are waaaay too small.
Maybe we should change it to at least 250px.
You were warned not to resize images by a member of the P&S Council. Yet, you chose to ignore the warnings and so, I blocked you. It's that simple. We keep spell pages at 200px or 190px. If you can't see it, then click on the image and it'll be expanded. We have no intention of changing this.   Rai  Talk     00:59,7/8/2012
But why do you insist that the images will be at 200px?
And there are sometimes videos instead of pictures which are at 200px that are hard to see...
Not to mention that the quality is not the best even when it's an image that small...
Because, in case you have not noticed, the spell pages are rarely longer than a sentence and we believe in proper pic to text ratio. Furthermore, we've never had complaints about our images being hard to see, so have you ever considered that it is a personal problem? The quality on our images are excellent. We make sure of that.   Rai  Talk     01:17,7/8/2012

Hi There :) Edit

Failure to follow this policy may result in you being blocked. If you are still having trouble with images, please leave me a message on my talk page. I am more than happy to help. Thank you! ☆°・*CarrotSays...*・°☆ 11:48, September 28, 2012 (UTC)

Images Edit

Please note that as per the image policy, you should not be uploading manga photos with text in them.

Once again, you need to familiarize yourself with the image policy. Filenames like 18.png are not acceptable and pictures should be free of black borders wherever possible.

Please upload images with a good file name, this also violates image policy. You cannot upload photos by naming them in numbers.

Re:Chapter 312 Edit

I'm not completely sure. I think it will be either the 21st or the 28th. ChaosKnight could probably tell you for certain.   Rai  Talk     14:42,12/16/2012

No problem. :)   Rai  Talk     14:49,12/16/2012

Hey Lidor. Especially with characters, when you create a page, make sure that it is not 99% unfilled like the one you just made. I will not say what other people say, but Miskos is working on this in his sandbox. If you created the full page, then it would be fine, but you did not. Please refrain from creating a page such as that in the future. Thanks.

Image PolicyEdit

Your recent image breaks a couple of image policies. I suggest you to reupload it here, but this time include filled FUR (Fair Use Rationale) and the license. Also, a better name is preferable.

Okay. Just keep this in mind next time so you don't end up being blocked. Happy uploading!DispellingJellal chibiMage 13:55, June 2, 2015 (UTC)

For starters, I only undid two. I truthfully agreed with most of your changes.

  1. Natsu almost died. He needed emergency medical care because he was bleeding to death, which he received from Ultear and Meredy. It was grievous indeed.
  2. Cobra should be moderate. Don't know why it was grievous. He was incapacitated; he didn't wind up with a broken spine...
  3. I said two different things, but both are applicable, so please don't spin my words against me. I said a grievous injury meant that they either couldn't really continue fighting, or that their life was in danger. Erza had her leg crushed, had the living tar beat out of her, and was then rendered unable to properly fight for the rest of the arc because of that battle. It's grievous.
  4. Elfman had the living shit beat out of him. Bacchus did everything but destroy his body and he didn't, and couldn't, fight for the next entire week. He needed active care from Porlyusica to so much as heal as fast as he did. Grievous is accurate.
  5. Hades shouldn't have been grievous, either. His wounds weren't grievous; he only received a lot of damage at once because he ran out of Magic Power. He wasn't incapacitated, either. He just laid there in defeat because he had no magic left. It should be moderate, imo, but others would probably disagree.
  6. Gray was covered mostly in bruises. Hiro isn't really a fan of covering people in blood like a lot of other mangaka. That stuff that looks like blood are bruises. Gray only had one severe cut (on his chest), a contused head, and minor cuts (like on his arm, though the one to his side was a bit more severe than the arm cuts). His wounds should only constitute as moderate because immediately after that fight, with nothing being done to heal him, he literally went running through Cube, possibly killed Tempester, then went and had a serious, life-threatening, battle with Mard Geer. Literally in the same couple hours. His life wasn't in danger, nor was he rendered incapable of fighting due to injury, nor were they extensive in the first place, really. The only thing that stands out is the cut on his chest, but he obviously didn't lose a lot of blood or was hindered in any way, unlike Natsu, who again almost died from his fight against Future Rogue, because he performed a lot of feats a person with grievous injuries shouldn't have been able to perform.

  1. Natsu was worn out from taking a few explosions and exhausting his magic. Jackal was just knocked through a couple buildings. The Etherious have shown the ability to be able to sustain more damage than normal humans. Jackal knew that continuing the fight was pointless, so he opted to just blow himself up. We don't really know if his condition was bad enough to prevent fighting. He was conscious and able to move, at least.
  2. Erza stood up, but her foot was broken, and she did two attacks, and then was later seen bandaged and rendered unable to fight because of the injuries she sustained. Just prior to this battle she was grievously injured, and they are back-to-back battles; there was no waiting, no first aid, no nothing between the 3-way to her battle with Kagura, to her battle with Minerva. She was thrown around through rocks, hit with spacial blasts, and god knows what else, on top of her already extensive wounds. The damage is cumulative, and the casualties sustained in this instance should reflect something similar. Erza standing up and winning because the plot demanded it does not negate that she was physically put through the mill. Seriously, remember when she was almost killed by the mini dragons? She could hardly hold up her own sword, let alone walk and defend herself. A moderately injured person could've kept on fighting, without much hindrance given by their wounds. Look at Rogue and how he managed to help fight against Scissor Runner and Levia without much strain on his body, even though he was physically demolished.
  3. Glad you see it that way~
  4. Gray got knocked down by that one attack. After that, Gray finished the fight, completely on his feet, stood there while Silver monologued, and then yes, he hugged his dad. But a few minutes of standing there doesn't really negate the fact that within the likelihood of a couple hours, Gray went and performed feats a grievously injured person couldn't. He was on his feet, actively participating and running around, fighting, and all sorts of other things. And saying Silver might have given Gray his Magic Power and healed him is speculation. What might have happened cannot be reflected in the casualties sustained. If we didn't see Silver give Gray Magic Power and heal him, then we can't write it in. We only saw him give over his actual magic.
  5. Natsu and Gajeel were beat up, sure, but the excess bandages were mostly for comedic effect. The actual injuries they sustained were quite heavy, but again, it's about what we see for injuries and using best judgment and circumstantial elasticity, not by inferring or using bias. If you actually look at the fight, the two weren't really hit all that much. Natsu and Laxus traded some blows, but before any real damage could be done, Gajeel stepped in, and then the two were hit by Lightning Dragon's Roar. Then there was just about nothing, and then Gajeel redirected some lightning. Laxus was then defeated. It was moderate. The extent of the actual injuries they were given were exaggerated for humorous purposes.

  1. You have to factor in a person's endurance/durability based on facts in the series and how they act after the fact vs. the damages they sustained, how they sustained them, who sustained them, etc. to determine casualties. Given from the facts in the series, Jackal and other Etherious have extremely high endurance and don't damage as easily as human wizards, both strong and average alike. Reading the chapter again, I'd have to agree that indeed his wounds were grievous. He was completely overpowered, battered and unable to move or defend himself, as evidenced when he couldn't even shake Happy off of him. I'd okay that change, personally.
  2. Yeah, I don't really like Erza, so I'm going to cut myself off right here, because how I view that battle and how others view that battle are going to probably be polar opposites.
  3. Gray's injuries were indeed extensive, but as I said in #1, there are factors you have to consider. Gray was not shown to be healed, and even though he had extensive injuries, he was not grievously injured, which should (it probably isn't, tbh. Reli is weird for never having defined slightly, moderately and grievously injured) be defined as being wounded to the point of death plausibility; wounded to the point where movement, the ability to fight, and other basic functions are restricted to an extreme degree; and/or suffering cumulative damage in successive fights that also reflects conditions in item two. Gray was running, fighting in fairly decent, expected form, and was not hindered in the slightest by his wounds.
  4. I understand that Natsu and Gajeel were heavily bandaged after, but again, it was pretty comedic. The mummy jokes, Gajeel being Natsu's translator, those are jokes. The battle was tough, yes. After a fight, there are going to be casualties, and people are going to be damaged and bandaged (I hope, anyway .-.), but there was no Wendy to heal them, hence the bandages in the first place. They could still walk around, they weren't near death (Laxus did fire off spells of a lethal nature, but Gajeel took one after suffering damage that was not comparable to Natsu's initial damage, and the other one missed). They could still walk around, maybe not fight, but after a fight pre-Wendy, it wasn't really expected of them. Injuries meant more because there were no insta-fixes.
    WrathRogue ChibiZero 17:23, June 10, 2015 (UTC)
  1. Happy wasn't a member of the fight whatsoever. He was just being used for reference... And Natsu wasn't exactly grievous. He was eating the explosions as they came to replenish his energy, it was just at the very end he didn't eat the explosions and suffered damage from it that sapped the rest of his strength.
  2. In those cases, Natsu ate whatever magic was being thrown at him. You saying "I think" or "it's safe to say" is speculation. If something like that wasn't said, then it didn't happen. If Gray's injuries were as severe as you claim, then something as simple as catching his breath and resting for a little while wouldn't have done anything to help him.
  3. If you're going to be that adamant about it, open a discussion. My decision stands. If you read above, the criteria I listed include the words "and/or", meaning one or more of those criteria will usually fit together to create a casualty. Their injuries prevented them from fighting afterward because they had extensive injuries, but they weren't life-threatening, they didn't inhibit their ability to fight during the time the fight took place, they were just injured. They kept fighting because they are resilient. And yes, jokes and whatnot aside, and they had a few broken bones. How is a broken leg and some bruises life threatening?
    WrathRogue ChibiZero 13:24, June 11, 2015 (UTC)
  1. Natsu is up in the air, to be honest. I feel more comfortable leaving him as moderate.
  2. Silver gave Gray the ability to use his magic. He gave Gray some information via telepathy. He was never said, nor shown, to give him Magic Power. I can only say it's speculation so many times before it starts coming off as angry.
  3. Again, just open a discussion about Natsu & Gajeel vs. Laxus. *shrugs*

Pretty much, yes. Then why are you trying to move Laxus surviving Tempesta's MBP under endurance? Iam...    JakuhōRaikōben19:56,6/29/2015

No, on this site, survivability mainly falls under durability. Also, enduring is a synonym for durable. That's just semantics. :/ Iam...    JakuhōRaikōben20:08,6/29/2015

Because durability is essentially just how much damage you can physically stand (i.e. survive) and endurance is your ability to keep going in a fight. The two are very closely related so the line often gets blurred, but let me put it this way. If Erza shot a gigantic beam at Mirajane and she survived the attack and kept on fighting, we would say that Mirajane has both great durability (for surviving the attack) and endurance (for continuing to fight). However, if Mirajane went down, she'd still get the durability feat but she wouldn't get the endurance feat because the attack rendered her unable to fight. Does that make sense? Iam...    JakuhōRaikōben20:59,6/29/2015

In a nutshell? Yes. Iam...    JakuhōRaikōben21:24,6/29/2015
