- Chapter 522
The first of the two chapters this week. And oh boy, was it interesting! There was actually quite a few things that stood out to me and there were answers that I didn't expect getting so soon!
First of all, last week I questioned Zeref randomly mentioning Laxus and Jellal; now we watch Zeref being aware of Gray's past and Gray is literally the voice of my thoughts: Why do you have information about things you're not interested in? And sure enough, Zeref reveals that he knows about all of his enemies. Which, of course, makes sense, but in Zeref's case, it feels somewhat redundant. Still, I liked Zeref going through the major members of Fairy Tail.
Secondly... it turns out we actually still don't know Zeref's main goal?! That was something I didn't see something. He plans to use Mavis' magic... for what? ;o
Thirdly... Originally, I found the idea of Gray's trump card being Iced Shell once again kind of meh, but I ended up liking the reasoning behind it. If Zeref is only sealed, Natsu won't die! Yay? Idk what's this lost attribute stuff, but in the end, it was much better than some random ass demonic form. *pukes*
Oh, and Cana joins Gildarts' fight. Uh ok ( ._.)

Well, it looks like this is an improved Iced Shell that makes people forget about about the caster once the spell is used? That is interesting. ( ._.)
And ... Gray is stopped by Natsu. For like 5544545th time. Lul. Although I have to admit that I really liked Natsu tearing up, it was very sweet. Finally some conclusion to that meme of a battle between Natsu and Gray. In any case, it looks like we are heading to a final stage of the battle. Zeref is gonna do something, yay.
And oh my god, a motherfuckin' Acnologia drops right next to Wendy. RIP...
All in all, pretty great chapters, I'd say.
