This month's Sexiest Mage Alive is the epitome of epicness himself, Laxus Dreyar. He's a 23 year old Mage of Fairy Tail that employs Lightning Magic as his main form of Magic. Despite having a sketchy past, Laxus is a valued member of his guild who cares deeply for his comrades and will go to great lengths to protect them.
(Laxus Dreyar to Iwan Dreyar)"I ain't got a clue what your goal is, but I'll hold you responsible for hurting my friends! My family is Fairy Tail! I will crush my family's enemies!"
This month's Ugliest Mage Alive is a man whose picture says a thousand words...and none of them are good...Ichiya Vandalay Kotobuki. He's an older (well, at least I imagine him to be older) Mage of Blue Pegasus that employs Perfume Magic as his main form of Magic. He, like every other man in Blue Pegasus thoroughly enjoys the company of women. Although ironically, his signature phrase is "Men."
Another issue of This Month in the Manga, the article related to recent manga happenings, is ready for you as usual. Aldarinor speaking.
Let me tell you guys: after the crap which was Chapter 284, some of the chapters I'm going to describe are PLAIN AWESOME. Get your safety belts on an let's have a go.
Previously on Fairy Tail... Hell, come on, there's no need to. You're supposed to have read the chapters up 'till now anyway. Just get the signature tone playing while you read the article or something.

I - Chapter 285: MPF[]
Here goes this month's first chapter. Since the first pages are related to one of the chapters I hated the most in the entire series (namely Chapter 284, but I guess you already knew), I won't be reviewing them, and I'll be skipping to the phase when the Pumpkin King Mato tells the other participants of the Pandemonium event that, in order to establish a ranking, they'll have to assault a Magical device (the Magic Power Finder, MPF, that is: the chapter's title isn't the name of some drug or something) which will assign a given number to their Magic Power: the higher the number, the higher the position in the rankings. Easy, no?
As the idiotic Hibiki tries to have his way with Cana, the competitors ready themselves in the same order determined for Pandemonium: Millianna goes first, achieving a nice score of 365, enough, according to Lahar, to be a Squad Leader of the Rune Knights. Wow, amazing! Especially if you consider how powerful Rune Knights are... Their power is overwhelming... Do me a favor. Next up is Nobarly, who scores just 124, giving Mashima another chance to throw loads of crap on Quatro Cerberus... Again. Hell, shocking news.
Third is Hibiki, who confidently assaults the Magical orb only to score 95 points (Ahah, looooooser!)... And to subsequently play the pathetic to attract Cana's attentions. Seriously, get the fuck out, Pegasus dummy. The gal's not yours for the taking. Bow before the fourth competitor, Obra, the one capable of reducing people's Magic Power to 0 in an instant from afar... And who nearly scores 0, much to everyone's dismay, sending his Exceed-like companion to headbutt the orb for a mere 4 points. Something expectable from someone who doesn't like to show his Magic in public, says the rest of Raven Tail when Flare wonders what the nosed guy is up to.
As Millianna gloats about being #1, Orga stands up, using his aimed attack 120mm Black Lightning Cannon to gain an astounding score of 3825, surpassing Millianna, amazing many people, and, most importantly, prompting Laxus to sneer satisfied. I can see a "Laxus vs Orga" title showing up soon... Seriously, a move named like a piece of artillery is so freakin' awesome that my already nice amount of respect for the most silent green-haired guy on steroids around grew even further. Orga sings in victory as Millianna is buried alive in cat litter for losing the 1st position, and the strongest candidate approaches the orb... It's Jura's turn.
The Wizard Saint asks the pumpkin man whether it is alright for him to go all out, and, when given permission, summons forth an humoungous amount of Magic Power performing his Rumbling Mt. Fuji spell, scoring 8544 points, a record for the MPF, and surpassing Orga. That's to be expected of a Wizard Saint, right?
The only one left is Cana, visibly quite drunk, as noted by her guildmates, obviously pessimistic that the girl can score a nice amount of points, especially in such state. Much to everyone's shock, Cana removes her shirt and reveals a dark mark hidden below it, on her right arm... Yes, guys, it's what you're thinking. Mavis claims to have renewed her lending as the drunkest girl in Fairy Tail uses one of her Guild's great spells again, employing Fairy Glitter to achieve a score of 9999 points, breaking the MPF by maxing it out (if she had had Break Damage Limit, that might have went up to 99.000, yay!). The astonished crowd cheers and Cana exults as Fairy Tail gains more and more points!
Mysterious things are to come, though... Mato is shown sneering in a rather creepy way, and, on the stands, Nullpudding hands the Armor Guy, now acknowledged as "Alexei", a small piece of paper with the matchups for the incoming battle portion written on it. I don't think that's a fair thing to do... Anyhow, the members of the former Dark Guild smile deviously as Alexei asks whether they should start to pursue their real objective, and next chapter's title comes up...
"Laxus vs Alexei".
Hell. YEAH. It was time. Looks like we're gonna see fireworks soon... Stay with us!
This was a really nice chapter, especially after That Crappy Chapter Whose Number Should Not Be Mentioned. It was good getting to see some new attacks from some characters, and the victory of one of my favorite characters obviously pleased me. Always regarding favorite characters, Laxus got to foreshadow some sort of confrontation with Orga and received an official, incoming battle in the form of next chapter's title... Hell, could I be happier than this?
...
Well, Mashima spoiled Quatro Cerberus again. So yes. I could.
As for the art... Well, we had a 2-pages shot of Fairy Glitter and the drawings were good as always... But seriously, with a cover like THIS, who gives a damn about the rest?
II - Chapter 286: Laxus vs Alexei[]
At last it's here... The title is the most promising one I'd seen in some time: we'll finally get to see Laxus fighting again! Hell, I can't wait. Let's start reading the chapter and find out that... Millianna has utterly defeated Semmes, that robot-like guy from Quatro Cerberus. You know, the one whose Magic we've not seen and who in the Games' Guide was described as having a score of 5 out of 5 for both Offense and Defense. Seriously damn catgirl, screw you. I already know of your fucking ropes, I've seen them already, let me see NEW MAGIC from OTHER PEOPLE, especially from people part of THE GUILD I'M CHEERING FOR! The only useful thing you could do with your goddamn tubes would be to wrap Erza up for good and store her away somewhere where she'd be stuck for the rest of the series. You'd do me a favor. Oh, and, if you wanted to do me another favor, after that you might wrap yourself up as well and go keep her company. Don't worry, I'd make sure to throw the key away myself, so that you two long-time friends could chat a bit.
Hell.
And since I'm at it, screw you too Mashima. Hell's dammit, why did you have Cerberus make it to the Games if getting whipped in the ass is the only thing they seem to do well? Stop throwing crap at them and let us see their Magic! You know what guys? Quatro Cerberus will win the Grand Magic Games. That's the only explanation I can come up with after seeing them always getting beaten up so badly. All other Teams will be eliminated in a way or another... After all, Jellal isn't part of Fairy Tail, and Raven Tail... Well, I don't think I have to mention Raven Tail. As for Blue Pegasus' Bunny Guy (Usagi for friends)... Keep reading, alright?
The third day's second match pits Rufus against Eve, two Mages who took part together in the Hidden event. How will the battle work out?
...
Do I really need to say that? Rufus rocks Eve with a single attack. Hell, it's Sabertooth, it's not the first time.
With Rusty's gay brother the minstrel having cooked the snow boy to perfection with a blazing spell he memorized in the past and with Gray resolving to fight him sooner or later (obvious foreshadowing, a "Gray vs Rufus" is likely to come up soon...), Ichiya goes on to describe the Bunny Man as Pegasus' "secret weapon"... Just as Hibiki and Ren start wondering whether the fluffy animal really is a member of their guild. What was I saying before... Cheating, right?
At long last, the third match is announced... And LAXUS finally descends into the sandy field to confront Raven Tail's "Armor Guy" Alexei! It's obvious that, with someone important and epic as Laxus, you can't just let Raven Tail cheat, right? That's what most people think, as Yajima warns Lahar to watch out for Iwan Dreyar's guild and stop the match if he notices something wrong, Bisca keeps watch on Iwan from afar with her sniper rifle (hot sniper for the win!) and the Thunder God Tribe (together with Lisanna, indefeasible due to a pair of binoculars) controls the rest of Raven Tail. Armed to the teeth, guys! Nice going! Mavis goes on to make a nakama speech too, but none gives a fuck.
The gong is played, and the battle starts... With Alexei rushing to Laxus before he can do anything and striking him in melee. That was just dumb luck, Laxus will... take another unarmed strike. And then a Magical one. And then another melee one. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?! Is this a joke?! It can't be! Your writer and the Fairy Tail members are left blank as Laxus is unable to defend himself from a barrage of blows... This is a joke... A goddamn one... It can't be.
Don't worry. It's not happening. As Laxus collapses on the sandy ground, an unscathed Laxus is shown standing near him.
...
Alright, again, WHAT THE FUCK?!
Alexei, who hasn't moved yet, goes on to explain that what the two of them and the audience are seeing is a battle between illusions which he generated, at the same time hiding the fighters' real bodies from sight. Hell, I was sure of that. There's no way Laxus can be beaten like that. The man's guildmates, still unaware of what's going on (unlike your relieved writer), watch on in disbelief as "Laxus" keeps getting beaten, with Laxus (it's supposed to be a pun, keep watch of those """"! Oh hell, double """"! Again!) asks his opponent what's the point of obtaining victory through an illusion. Alexei replies that their goal isn't victory, and that, if their discussion was to please him, "Laxus" might as well rock "Alexei". Laxus is obviously too awesome to accept such a mean offer, and readies to give the real thing a lesson... Only to find the rest of Raven Tail pitted against him. Alexei, at long last, raises his arms and removes his helmet, revealing himself as none other than...
Iwan.
CHEATER!
Sorry girls, no sexy face behind that cold metal. Unless you like huge noses and elven ears, that is.
Fairy Tail's "SWAT team" can't see what's happening. To them, Iwan is still in his place, and so is Raven Tail. Not even Makarov can see through his son's smokescreen, it seems... The Iwan in the public is an illusion, his underlings on the stands are an illusion, the battle between "Laxus" and "Alexei" is an illusion.
But what is it that Iwan wants from his son? Would you like to try and guess?
a) Women
b) Power
c) Money
d) A smaller nose
e) A kakapo bird
f) The location of Lumen Histoire
Did you give your answer? If you did, then let's announce which answer was the correct one!
The correct answer was... f, the location of Lumen Histoire! Congratulations to those of you who answered correctly, your prize is... Not being complete idiots, that is.
Laxus, however, has no idea what that weird light which Makarov showed Gildarts is, nor its location. And even if he did, he wouldn't tell his shitty pops! His lightning pouring out, the Thunder God readies to take on his father and his so-called "specialized anti-Fairy Tail guild"... All by himself! Will the epic sparkles of awesomeness prevail? Stick with us, and find out!
Aside from the lousy start (Quatro Cerberus will get you back, Mashima!) and the initial, preposterous impression of Laxus getting beaten, this chapter, if you ask me, was the best one we'd had in a while. I liked how Gray was likely confirmed to fight Rufus in the future, how Fairy Tail came up with a group to keep Raven Tail under check, and, most importantly, LAXUS! Hell, he got some really epic shots among the quality drawings making up this chapter's 20 pages. Keep up the good work, Mashima-sensei (NB: the very same person I previously insulted... Flighty me...)!
III - Chapter 287: Real Family[]
The time has come for Laxus' first battle in ages to meet its raging start. The S-Class Mage and the team opposing him take some time exchanging words, with Iwan remarking that his guild specializes in forms of Magic which Fairy Tail is weak against, and Laxus replying that Makarov knows everything about them, about what they did in the seven years following Tenrou Island's disappearance, with Raven Tail finally recognizing Gajeel as a double agent. Being smart is you guys' glory, right? Though, wait a second... How come Gajeel could provide information regarding Iwan's guild if he was frozen on Tenrou Island during those 7 years? Guys, do you really expect Mashima to give explanations in a chapter focused on combat? Hell no!
Laxus proceeds to say that Makarov was willing to leave Raven Tail alone, as long as they didn't threaten his guild... Something which seems to shock Iwan. As Fairy Tail's S-Class hints that maybe this is due to fatherly love, Iwan goes on to the offensive, sending whirlwinds of his shikigami towards Laxus while boasting about Lumen Histoire in a disturbed way. The man fends these lousy assaults off with merely some scratches, as Raven Tail's Master orders Obra to take away Laxus' Magic Power. There we go, Abe! It's time for a clash of strategy and tactics!
Laxus easily gets rid of his father's shikigami and then reaches Obra, striking him down before the long-nosed fellow can do anything. Iwan pulls out his first shocked expression.
With their presumably strongest asset down, Raven Tail moves forward its infantry towards the enemy unit: both Flare and Nullpudding assault Laxus, with the former sending her elongated hair against the S-Class Mage, and the latter... Hell, I don't know. While readying to attack, he came up with a "Needle Blast", which, judging from the name, is supposed to be some ranged move... But then, nothing. No flying spikes or anything. He only reappeared later trying to strike Laxus in melee. Can anyone explain? And, since we're at it, why does Flare uses "Crimson Hair" as her attack's name? It's as if Laxus yelled out "Electricity" while striking her down with his Lightning Dragon's Roar. Which, by the way, is something he does in order to avenge Lucy, but not before avenging Gray by knocking Nullpudding out.
And here goes Iwan's second shocked expression.
Raven Tail's las resort resolves to use light equipment to near the enemy by surprise as a commando, with Kurohebi materializing before Laxus with his copied Sand Magic. Seriously, can't you use anything else? I know the battleground's sandy, something which makes it easier to camouflage with it using such Magic, and that sand can be a natural insulator, but still... Just like Jellal lost his match by overusing already used Magic, Kurohebi gets electrocuted and put out of action by one of Laxus' lightnings for being banal in his attack pattern. Next time, try and come up with something more creative. We all know Lightning is weak to Wind. Ah, no, wait... Wrong manga.
Anyhow, Iwan's third shocked expression is the last one, as Laxus nears him, and, ignoring his blabbering about him being his father and family, punches him away with lightning, claiming that Fairy Tail is his real family, the one whose enemies he crushes. Iwan is sent crashing against a wall as his illusions are dispelled, the audience finally able to see what happened.
Laxus is declared victorious while Raven Tail is disqualified from the Games.
Iwan's guild failed. If this was a chess match, you'd have the white king best by himself the black king, the bishop, the rook, the knight and... No wait... Iwan's the king, Obra's the bishop, Nullpudding might be the rook (Lol, seriously?!), Kurohebi's the knight... Does this leave Flare as the queen? Man, that'd be a lousy queen in terms of fighting. I hardly think she could navigate all 'round the chessboard. Anyhow, no matter how you look at it, all of them are snatched away by the soldiers, but not before Iwan can tell Laxus something about Lumen Histoire being "Fairy Tail's darkness"... Is it the seed of doubt which Raven Tail's Master wants to implant into his son, after a Dragon Lacrima? Will he want that back as well, sooner or later, to try and make money out of it? How did Makarov's wife/girlfriend look like, seeing as her son sports a gigantic nose and elven ears? The answers to such questions have yet to come.
Oh, and before I forget, it looks like Obra's Exceed-like thing is actually "the real Obra", and "Obra" is instead a container, left lifeless like a deflated tyre as the creature leaves him, escaping capture and stating that he/they'll meet Fairy Tail again. Creepy. Oh, and Orga grins in satisfaction as he sees Laxus victorious. Their match will come, it's a given fact now. I can't wait. Maybe even the Thunder God will actually have to break a sweet before the Black Lightning... Stick with us and find out!
Meanwhile, the third day's fourth match is announced... Fairy Tail's Wendy Marvell vs Lamia Scale's Chelia Blendy! A loli battle! Hold your Remnants at bay! The two clumsily enter the sandy arena and introduce each other... Just as Mavis notices something weird with Chelia's Magic, and, outside the Domus, the entirety of Crime Sorcière, at long last, notices the dark Magic Power they're after, with Jellal rushing towards its direction... Towards the Domus itself. Is this supposed to be a coincidence? Time witll tell!
I don't know what to say about this chapter, really. I mean, Laxus was frickin' EPIC, and the way he rocked all of Raven Tail emerging virtually unscathed was TERRIFYING. But still... Raven Tail sucked. We must say that. Is that all you guys got? Seriously, what's up with this "Anti-Fairy Tail guild"? I didn't see any Anti-Fairy Tail Magic there, you know. Or is appearing pathetic to move the notoriously sensitive Mages from Fiore's former strongest guild (which is likely to achieve such status again soon) your secret strategy?
Oh, and Iwan. Iwan, Iwan, Iwan, Iwan. What the hell were you doing? You're Makarov's son and Laxus' father, can't you do something serious? Is casting illusions your only talent, can't you be a bit awesome in actual combat? I'm seriously hoping you did that on purpose, or... Dammit.
Anyhow, I'm wondering how the battle between the two gals will work out, and whether Chelia really is the source of the dark Magic Power tormenting Jellal and his Angels. Yes, I just called them Jellal's Angels. Any problem with that?
Questions and doubts aside, this chapter was well drawn, with some notably awesome pictures of Laxus. The 2-pages one in which he finished off his father looked a bit weird, though... Strange positioning. Oh, and after Cana's previous Cover, this time we get Lisanna showing off her feline Take Over. Purrrrrr.
IV - Chapter 288: Wendy vs Chelia[]
The battle of the loli nears its start. Lyon gloats about Chelia's power with Gray, while Chapati shows a little excessive enthusiasm about the incoming clash. Could it be that... Naaaaaaah.
And... Here we go!
Resolving to give it her all, Wendy empowers herself with Vernier and then attacks her opponent with Sky Dragon's Claw. Chelia dodges and then, much to everyone's shock, generates black wind, sending it against Wendy with her Sky God's Boreas.
WHAT???!!!
Yeah, that's right.
Chelia is another God Slayer, harnessing the same element as Wendy. Soooo... A little girl using an exclusive type of Magic related to air gets pitted against a little girl using an exclusive type of Magic related to air.
Original.
Hell, this is lame as... well, as hell. Out of ALL TYPES OF INTERESTING MAGIC Chelia could use, she just gets a cheap ripoff of Wendy's? LAAAAAAAME.
I'm so frickin' disappointed that I won't tell you about the following clash, involving an exchange of nearly identical attacks causing slight damage to both fighters. Chelia shows a battle-loving side, while Chapati grows hornier and hornier. At some point, Wendy proves herself capable of using one of the special techniques Porlyusica gave her books for, employing Shattering Light: Sky Drill, a cheap combination of Erigor's hurricane barrier and Caelum's blast, to seemingly knock Chelia out... This until the God Slayer stands back on her feet unharmed, having healed her injuries with her Magic, much like Wendy usually does with others, and readies to continue the battle with the exhausted Dragon Slayer. Everyone goes "Surprised Oooooooh!", and Lyon gloats again. "Yawns" Yeah, great.
As Doranbolt watches on in disbelief, someone accidentally bumps into him while passing by and apologizes. Hey, look, it's Jellal/Mystogan, wondering whether Chelia is somehow connected to Zeref, and realizing Wendy's in danger! Lucky of him to bump into one of the only persons not associated with Fairy Tail aware of the real Mystogan's fate... Not to mention one wearing a full Rune Knight officer uniform. JELLAL, YOU'RE A FRICKIN' IDIOT!!!
What to say, this chapter was a disappointment. I frankly expected Chelia to have more interesting Magic, not merely a cheap ripoff of Wendy. In addition, I don't think God Slayer Magic fits her. Jellal's idiocy was also disappointing, since he's not supposed to be stupid at all.
Oh, and since we're at it, Orga's ALMOST confirmed to be a God Slayer, if his black lightning wasn't enough: he's one of the only individuals shown with an amazed expression when Chelia reveals her black wind. Great, so we should be expecting another Dragon Slayer vs God Slayer battle. Hell, at least Orga's moves aren't cheap copies of Laxus'.
Well-drawn chapter with a 2-pages panel and a cute Cover portraying Wendy with some large plushies.
Welcome to another issue of The Earth Land Chronicles. This article will be the discussion of related things in the Fairy Tail series, which will be presented in chronological order. This could include main villains, Dragon Slayers, Celestial Spirits, all in the order they were revealed. Our first series will be the story arcs of Fairy Tail, with an arc being done each month (though once in a while two). So let's continue with the Lullaby arc.
This month we cover two arcs. The Galuna Island arc and the Phantom Lord arc. Starting with the Galuna Island arc, we finally start to get backgrounds on some of our main characters. This time is was Gray. Now that I think about it, this was probably the only time Gray has really gotten the spolight in the manga. There was a shimmer of hope with the whole Ultear and Gray thing on Tenrou Island, but that dissolved pretty quickly. Anyways, we start the arc out by meeting a fan-favourite character, Laxus Dreyar. Already he establishes himself as a douche. We also meet Mystogan as well. My god... who knew Fairy Tail was so awesome!
So eventually the original Team Natsu decides to go steal an S-Class job, which brings them to Galuna Island. They don't go alone though, as Gray tags along. When they arrive they learn that townspeople have supposebly turned into demons due to the moon. This leads to the task of destroying the moon. Obviously this can't be done though... Team Natsu try to go around the island the figure out what is really turning the villagers into demons. They find an ancient ruins and soon Gray is confronted by his childhood friendimy, Lyon Vastia. At first, Lyon seems like another douche bag (though not Laxus level). His companions are also weirdo's, but Toby is the weirdest of all as we soon learn he's a total zero when it comes to fighting. So after Team Natsu gets their butts whooped, we learn Gray is supposebly resonsible for the death of his teacher, Ur. And after a short battle royale featuring Sherry, Yukka, and the genius Toby, Erza shows up to take everyone back, and hang their heads above her fireplace while sipping on their blood.
Gray becomes a badass though and tells Erza "F*** you and your rules!" Erza surpringly lets him go and we get a bunch of info on Grays past. Most importantly, we learn why he always strips, which is actually a huge plot point (I'm joking). So Gray goes back to the ruins to stop Natsu from defeating another main baddie. Instead Natsu gets paired with Zalty, whose ass he whoops even though she's supposed to be one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, and much more skilled than him at this point... Gray ends up beating Lyon, giving him what he deserves, and the team soon stops his sinister plan of ressurecting the demon Deliora, which was an overall stupid plan to begin with.
So with the bad guys defeated, why are the villager's still demons! In an impossible to guess revelation, the Moon Drip spells Lyon was using, covered up the moon, making the villagers all retarted because the villagers are actually demons to begin with! Eh, i'll accept it.
Next we have the Phantom Lord arc! This arc defintely established the Fairy Tail arc formula of having a a short prologue, battle royale, and then final battle. So for our short prologue, our heroes return to find their guild has been f***** up. At first Makarov doesn't really care, but after the embarrasingly weak Team Shadow Gear basically get hung, Makarov is ready to kick some Phantom ass. FT storms into their enemies guild, but are defeated, including Makarov.
So with Fairy Tail depressed, Phantom Lord decides to send them a present, which includes a giant Mecha designed to destroy the guild! Erza bravely takes one for the team and is out of commision. This forces other side members like Elfman and Cana to take charge to defeat Phantom Lord. Our heroes run into the Element 4. All of them bascially are terrible characters besides for Juvia, who actually has an interesting personality (and creepy). Gray beats the shit out of her, and gets a boob-touch. ^_^
In Elfman's battle we get an emotional trip about how Elfman was basically the one who killed his sister. And Mirajane, no matter how many times you say it, it IS his fault!! After re-reading this chapter I again wished Lisanna stayed dead, espicially since she's so uesless now. Anyways, Elfman defeats his bad guys, and so do the others. Erza takes care of Aria in one blow, again demonstrating her badassness. The party is spoiled when Jose Porla shows up though and defeats everyone, besides Natsu who goes to fight Gajeel. In a very intense fight (and probably one of the best of the manga), Natsu prevails. As this happens, Makarov comes back from the dead and uses the uber Magic, Fairy Law to defeat all of Phantom Lord... Talk about cheap Magic >__>.
So in the end... well that's actually sort of it...
Forgive me dear readers, but Garyness forgot to update these so I, IamJakuhoRaikoben, will update them for him. Best Quote of the Arc:

Welcome everyone to the new issue of Fighting Festival!! This month will be a tag team review. Me and the Sorcerer Magazine's newest intern, Alois-pyon, will be bringing you guys our opinions on the manga fights this month. (The anime fights were so pitifully lame that they won't be reviewed. Besides, neither me nor Onion-chan is caught up with teh anime...) The order of the reviews goes Me, Onion, Onion, Me. But before we review, I have an announcement. I’m thinking about possibly closing Fighting Festival and opening up a new article in its place. I need two things from my dedicated readers (although there are none…) Firstly:
Secondly:
The first fight that we’ll be discussing is Erza vs. the 100 monsters of Pandemonium. I only have one word to describe this fight…EPIC! This match begins when Mato makes each participant in Pandemonium draw a number and our favorite female knight draws the number 1. She steps up to the plate and instead of taking 2 or 5 or even 10 monsters Erza demands to fight all 100 of them. Everyone in the audience at this point thinks Erza is crazy and almost all of the readers of this manga have a wtf look on their face right about now.
Erza walks into the castle and we don’t get to see every detail of the fight but we do get around 2-3 epic shots of Erza kicking monster ass. She comes out and the crowd goes berserk! Erza Scarlet, the queen of the fairies, has single handedly killed 100 monsters, something that the organizers of the Grand Magic Games didn’t even think was possible. You want to know why? Because she’s a beast! And there isn’t a character in Fairy Tail more epic than her! Well, besides Mirajane. ;) To me, the best part of the fight was all the praise that Erza received. I think it really showed that Fairy Tail, despite the years they spent away, are still people you can’t fuck with. Now, some of you are so busy sucking Laxus’s nuts that you can’t see any other character as epic. And for you, this fight was probably lame. Well, luckily for you, I have some advice. Give your poor mouth a rest, and reread the fight….
Well, did you reread it? You thought it was epic? I knew you would. The only downsides to this fight were firstly the fact that Mato said that one of the monsters could possibly even beat a member of the Ten Wizard Saints. Now, it's already been established that Erza was Wizard Saint level so her beating the monster didn't surprise me. But her beating the monster after facing 99 others? That's unrealistic. There's also the fact that we didn't get to see any of the fight besides a few panels. Overall this fight gets a 8/10.
Two words: Epic. Fail. And you could take those as two different things in two different contexts. It was both extremely epic, and a complete fail. Epic because Laxus finally got his well-deserved metaphorical 15 pages of glory; he showed us moves and techniques we haven't seen from him, and he was just basically the star of the chapter which is really enough for any fan girl or fan boy. Fail because Raven Tail, who's supposed sole existence is to eliminate Fairy Tail, got there asses handed to them so beautifully in a little less than a chapter. So it was bound to happen anyway, but for everything to be crammed in on one single chapter? Some people just want to watch the world burn.
Obviously, and to my ever-lasting relief, Mashima still has other plans for Raven Tail. That little black thingy with a smug I-know-something-you-don't face is very foreboding; not to mention Mato who has been more or less suspicious from the get-go. Since Mashima left their fight (however lame it was) with a sort of cliffhanger, I'd say I haven't given up on this entirely. But for the time being, I'd generously give it a 5/10. But only because Laxus is there in all his shining-lightning glory.
I bet all the pedo-bears had a field day. I know, I sort of had too. For the first time in a while, Wendy fought epic-ally. She went all out, and her techniques were really something. Porlyusica even acknowledged her for it. Her overall fighting style wasn't so bad either, and it's a huge improvement from the Oración Seis arc, when she could barely even wield her offensive powers properly. Even when the pair-up was completely expected, her battle with Chelia really hyped me up.
I couldn't say the same for Chelia, though--to be specific, her powers. I never liked God Slayer magic, and (I've said this countless times before) I found it too convenient. It's the perfect antagonist for Dragon Slayer magic, and there's almost no loophole to it. Which sucks, big time. But since, once again, Mashima left their fight with a cliffhanger, it means he's still got some thing in store for us. Plus, all the hype he's been brewing about Zeref and some malevolent magic (which is somewhat implied to be related to Chelia), this fight (in it's entirety) is shaping up to be Fairy Tail's most epic battle ever. Well... hopefully. I'd give this a 7/10 for all the epic techniques and fighting styles (and cuteness overload!) incorporated in it.
Onion-chan reviewed this fight before Chapter 289 had debuted so consider this a closing to her review. So Wendy and Chelia's fights end up in a draw because Wendy is not just a combatant she's a strategist. Cool. The only problem is that I though it was utter bull shit. Chelia was clearly levels above Wendy in strength and while Wendy's strategy did make sense it was just bull shit. Chelia could've finished Wendy easily and the fact that their match ended in a draw was just Mashima's way of not making Wendy lose. Overall, this fight was good but dull at the same time. Chelia is just a carbon copy of Wendy, the only difference being that Chelia turns into a demon when in battle. The two battling was cool but not tremendously interesting...not very interesting at all. The battle was pretty good though until Mashima ended it on a gay note. And by gay, I mean stupid not homosexual. -__-But to be honest, who cares? Wendy and Chelia are too damn cute for anyone to dislike anything they do. =3 *goes off to stare at pictures of them* O, and I give this fight a 7/10.
Here comes a new issue of Real Tail. I'm your writer, Aldarinor.
This month will be about "Naming Trivia", all suggested by Guilherme Abe. Hell, maybe I should just give up and let him handle this article instead... Whatever.
Cait Shelter/Sith
RealTail
Here we go with the first fact, directly from our most faithful (and only...) active contributor, Guilherme Abe!
More Naming Trivia coming in the form of Lamia Scale! This friendly guild, sporting a mermaid on its emblem (the reason behind Mermaid Heel's lousy symbol, with their theme creature already used...), is named after a beastly queen from Greek mythology, half-human and half-snake, known for devouring other women's children and for drinking blood in a vampire-like fashion... As well as for having given birth to a breed of similar creatures, among which is Scylla, the mythical monster residing in the Strait of Messina.
What to say... Wonder who was it that came up with such a nice name. If this is what we get, it might as well have been Toby... Ooooooon!!!
Minerva
RealTail
Minerva, one of Sabertooth's top five Mages. Minerva, the one who calmed Natsu down by blackmailing him and gave the young Dragon Slayer some mature traits, at least for once. Minerva, the woman dressed up as a geisha but bearing the name of a Weastern deity.
Minerva is the Roman name of the Greek goddess of wisdom and knowledge, Athena. Her Fairy Tail counterpart (Edolas WTF?) doesn't seem to be stupid at all, but still... How come a gal got up like an Eastern loose woman is named like a goddess from the other part of the world?
Though the same could be said for someone else, again using a Roman name instead of a Greek one (second time using that link in the article, yay!)...
According to our expert in Ariesology, you will have a "fluffy" month, even though I have no idea what that means. Our expert also says that the Wool Cushion she created wasn't done so Lucy and Michelle could be saves, but it was because she wanted to share it with you. Yes, you. She says that she is waiting for you for "Fluffy Time". Wait. Now I know what she means. *nosebleed*
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
It seems that your Taurus-like personality has made you ill-tempered lately. People around you might have been expecting a bit more cooperation on your part and you could be nicer and more concerned about their needs. Of course, to change that attitude of yours, you just need to relax and let all the stress out by masturbating at Lucy's body. That always helps this guy at least...
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Nothing much is happening this month, yet you seem worried and tense. It's because this month you will meet your evil twin. We all have one, we just don't know them, but this month my dear Gemini, you will encounter your own. Be prepared. Your evil twin will try to destroy you, either mentally, emotionally or socially. You can't let them. You have to fight back or you will regret it. Now listen to the greates battle music of all time (video to your right) and get ready to fight!
CANCER (June 21 -July 22)
You often need to release your personal emotions. This month will be no exception to the rule as you will be a complete drama queen like this guy. You will do anything, make up lies, cheat, steal, kill, anything to get what you want, just like this guy. You won't care who you step on, who you hurt, how many lives you'll destroy to get what you want, just like this guy. I feel sorry for you. Go get a haircut like this and pray that you don't turn out like this guy.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
You shouldn't try to fight the feelings that run through you this month. Don't even try to rationalize them. These feelings are connected to your perverted nature and your constant wanting to have pleasure. Don't fight it, just give in. However, don't go around looking for a whore, look for that special someone. That special someone is the only one that can fulfill you my perverted Leo. Your welcome.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
You'll be lost in your thoughts this month, analyzing your life. You'll be asking yourself what kind of things are chaining you down from doing what you want. Is it your work? Is it school? Is it responsibilities at home? Is it responsibilities at the Fairy Tail Wiki? Is it your homosexuality? Is it your addiction to Wikis? Is it because you killed Natsu after getting raped by Bacchus and Ichiya? Well no matter what is chaining you down, know that you can just let go of those chains by getting some sweet deserved punishment, right Virgo?
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
This will be a very busy month for you Libra. You will be filled with so much work that you are barely going to have time to catch any sleep. This is dangerous to your relationships. Don't let all of your responsibilities become your entire world. Take some time out to spend with my family and friends as to not lose them. Don't go to the other extreme either and neglect your responsibilities. Balance everything out like this girl can. She balances her leisure time with her work time. We have a lot to learn from spirits.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! We are! Yeah! That's your horoscope. Have fun!
For the best spirit ever, you will succeed this month like never before. You'll get everything your heart desires. You want money? You'll get it! You want love? You'll feel like a whore with so much of it going around! You want fame? It's yours! That's what all Capricorns deserve ^_^
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
This month a strong sense of destiny could lead you to someone new - either a potential close friend or prospective romantic partner. You're apt to feel especially protective toward this person, Aquarius, and even though he or she is new to you. You could feel as if you've known this person forever. Expect to shine and be overjoyed! Enjoy your month and call me if you ever need some "special time". I'll be waiting. *perv mode on*
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Volatile emotions may come to the surface among the members of your household this month. This could prove irritating for you, Pisces, but try to avoid becoming involved in others' quarrels. At times like this, a lot could be said that shouldn't be said, and apologies won't necessarily wipe it out. This is a great month to get some work done around the house, as your physical energy is high. Make use of your good aesthetic sense and your black and whiten fishes.

Last Month's Rumors >>>
Hello everyone! Today we were supposed to be interviewing with one of the greatest, and most traitorous, users on the site, B j . But, his traitorous nature has taken over him again, and so, he bailed (not sure if it's temporary or permanently) without completing any of his tasks. -__- Great. Anyhow, since he left, I decided to interview the most random and one of the most skilled users on this site. Let's all give it up for Aldarinor !
Fairy Tail Wiki: Tell us a little about yourself. Aldarinor: Well, what to say. I'm an Italian teenager who , among other interests and activities, enjoys reading manga and is fond of Wikis. I've finished my last year of high school, and today I had the final exam, which went really well... Aldarinor is happy =D
Fairy Tail Wiki: How did you first discover the Fairy Tail Wiki? Aldarinor: Well, as I said, I'm fond of Wikis, and, when I'm reading a manga, at some point I usually end up typing such manga's name plus "wiki" on Google. The same happened for Fairy Tail, though I admit I also had a look at the place which would have become my favourite Wiki even before taking up the series, merely looking at pictures to avoid major spoilers... Though one came, eventually, after I started reading Fairy Tail. I was reading the last chapters of the Fighting Festival arc; if I do remember correctly, I'd reached page 20 of chapter 128, when Iwan's figure was shown without him actually appearing... yet. Gajeel mentioned Laxus' Dragon Slayer powers, and I, curious, searched the Wiki for information about it. Back then, Laxus' Magic and Abilities section was pretty bare... Hadn't received my maniacal contribution yet, that is. And still, I managed to read the sentence "As it turns out however, the Magic was actually implanted within him by his father as he was "frail" when he was younger, despite his Magical potential". Yeah, that's supposed to be it. Amazed by my new discovery, I returned to the chapter and turned the page... To read exactly what I'd just learnt. I didn't think the truth would be revealed in that very same chapter... It really felt weird.
Fairy Tail Wiki: What 5 tips would you give new users on the wiki? Aldarinor: Well, let's see... First and foremost, I'd encourage new users to be kind and friendly with others. A Wiki isn't just a more or less large archive of focused information, it's also a place where people can gather and discuss, get to know each other, spend their free time. Next up would be to try and do your best to increase the quality of our pages; our Wiki is vast and informative, but it could surely use some help here and there. Another advice, which ought likely come before the other ones, is to carefully read our Policies, in order not to be reprimended by fellow users. To err is human, but, since avoiding some errors is that easy, why don't we try and avoid them? I'd return again on "human relationships" by advising people to be calm and considerate even while discussing issues, be them related to the series or not. There's no need for simple discussions to degenerate into fierce arguments. Last but not least... ENJOY YOURSELVES! Remember that our Wiki is a place archiving serious and relevant information, but it doesn't have to be some gloomy gathering where people work themselves off. Editing a Wiki isn't a JOB, it's a PLEASURE. Always think of it as such.
Fairy Tail Wiki: Why are you so damn random? Aldarinor: How come platypuses lay eggs, have poisonous hind limbs, look like a cross between a beaver and a duck and yet they are MAMMALS? That's something I can't seem to understand.
Fairy Tail Wiki: Did you like my imitation of you? Aldarinor: The technique was pretty good... But the whole thing lacked feeling. You're not ready yet to become a Honorary Fighting Hamster, Whore-kun.
Fairy Tail Wiki: My sources inform me that you are currently involved in a homosexual love triangle with Freed Justine and Laxus Dreyar. Care to explain? Aldarinor: Slanders, mere slanders likely spread by enviouswhores to discredit me. Stupid unfounded rumors whose spreader I'll make sure to kill myself, of course after making him/her suffer. Laxus rightfully earned his place as my favorite character due to his awesomeness, his haugthily badass attitude and his overwhelming might, not due to his looks. He's clearly heterosexual, and, to prove that I'm too and stop those pain-in-the-ass rumors spread by shitty individuals putting the blame of their sex urges on others, I'll say that I show no trouble at the prospect of him having a girlfriend; on the other hand, that'd make me happy... as long as the dame was fine, though. Freed's also a pretty likeable character with a particularly interesting Magic, and that recent omake with him staring at Pegasus' naked Trimens isn't indicative... Hell, maybe he was just giving Ren a look while trying to decide whether to get a tan himself or not.
Fairy Tail Wiki: So what you are saying is, you're gay? Aldarinor: Nope, dear sir, that's not it. What I'm saying is that I'm going to give your mother and/or sister the night of her/their life. Bye guys!
Well, there you have it folks. Right here on Jakuho's Corner, Aldarinor admitted he was gay. Anyhow, next month's interview will be with a user who is very special to my heart. Look forward to it! See you guys next time!
Eisenwald Chicken (disguised as Natsu and keeping its flames active to simulate Dragon Slayer powers)
What is the weirdest mission you've ever done?
Eisenwald Chicken: MEAT!!!
Have you ever gone on an S-Class mission? If not, would you like to?
Eisenwald Chicken: MEAT!!!
What would you do if you were invisible?
Eisenwald Chicken: MEAT!!!
Do you have a special talent?
Eisenwald Chicken: MEAT!!!
If you were a Molding Mage, what would you like to mold?
Eisenwald Chicken "Clears its throat before speaking": Well, that's quite easy, kind sir. I'd try and mold the very same element I commonly employ through the use of my standard set of abilities. Generating shapes out of fire would most likely grant me a wide range of possibilities, thus making an hypothetical Fire-Make Magic a valuable asset. If I was to add something, I'd say...
Natsu: Hey folks, I'm back! What are you guys being so loud fo... Hey, what the hell?! You're that Eisenwald weirdo who tried to eat Happy! "Generates fire on one arm" Come here!
Eisenwald Chicken: MEAT!!! "Creates a flaming explosion and runs away"
Gajeel: And don't wanna talk about it. If you ever think that Master Makarov have a strange ideas, you should meet his son. His a f*king S-M you know...
Ivan: Gajeeeel-chaaaaan
Gajeel: Noooo....!!!!
Have you ever gone on an S-Class mission? If not, would you like to?
Gajeel: Pffff.... Many times. In PL I was the strongest. I didn't have to steal it like one blue cat.
Juvia: Gajeel-kun remember when we defeated almost 100 members of two Dark Guilds? After that we give them such a hard and cruel punishment! Juvia enjoy it! <smile>
Grey: Oi, oi...
What would you do if you were invisible?
Gajeel: Hmmm... <visualizes Lucy dressed in a bunny suit> Nothing in particular <visualizes Erza dressed in a nurse suit> I'm aware of that...
Do you have a special talent?
Gajeel: I'm a great singer and songwriter
Mirajane: No.
Gray: Not at all.
Laxus: I will kill you if you won't keep your mouth shut.
If you were a Molding Mage, what would you like to mold?
Gajeel: Nothing <visualizes Erza and Lucy dressed in a Gothic Loli clothes>
A: Every mission I do is weird since Alzack and Bisca always accompany me. They always do perverted stuff whenever they think that I'm sleeping.
Bisca: R.. Romeo-kun!
Have you ever gone on an S-Class mission? If not, would you like to?
A: No! All the S-Class Mages disappeared seven years ago. I was left with all the other useless members.
What would you do if you were invisible?
A: I'm still debating on who to stalk.. Uh.. I mean befriend. Kinana-chan or Wendy-san.
Do you have a special talent?
A: I can appear to be intimidating. Though it still doesn't work properly since the Twilight Ogre bastard was able to see through it. Oh. And I can politely ask doors to open if that counts.
If you were a Molding Mage, what would you like to mold?
A: I can already mold my fire so I'm practically a Molding Mage.
Gray: That measly trick is nothing compared to mine you Natsu fanboy!
IamJakuhoRaikoben : The Vanish Brothers? Are you fucking kidding me. I've worked on this damn article since it's founding and I'm interviewing the Vanish Brothers? Reli, what the hell?!
IamJakuhoRaikoben : Money's tight? O really. You interviewed Juvia fucking Lockser and so far I've gotten to interview some dead bitch and the VANISH BROTHERS?? Screw this, I quit!
What type of guys do you like? would you like to get married with a special someone one of these days? Why do you hate Jellal so much, I know you could kill him in less than a min but why do you hate him so much.
Kagura: Well Omega-kun, I love Hispanic teenagers, 16 years old, born January the 2nd, 19XX, with average height and weight. My men should have curly/messy/straight/(Who knows) black hair and light brown eyes. Do you know anyone like that?
Would I like to get married? Not anytime soon, but I have been proposed by a stalker several times already.
Why I hate Jellal is a secret for me to know, and you to find out.
Have a question you want to ask a Fairy Tail member? Then send them a letter here! They'll be glad to answer your question.
I think this month's art was probably the best art I've ever featured in the magazine. It is amazing! The coloring is just superb, I've never seen anything like it. This artist is really talented. The highlights, shadows, depth, choice of color, all of it is amazing. It makes me jealous! I kinda wish he would fall off a cliff and die and all his skill would be transferred to me! *starts laughing laughing evilly to myself* Anyhow, I give it a . O, and btw, this piece of art was done by Diabolumberto click the picture to go to the original picture and see more by the artist. I really advise everyone to do this because the quality of the art drops substantially when it's uploaded onto the wiki. O, and also, he kinda doesn't want people reusing his art so he might not like it being featured here...I used to ask artists before I featured their work but it was so many and since I always give credit to them I figure it's okay...
Welcome to the The Last Pollbender! The page where we hold all kinds of polls each month to find out what Fairy Tail fans' opinions are on any and every subject!
Rai said: "Mashima has really pissed me off with his misogynistic themes lately. Cana's bra being stolen, Flare getting beaten, Yukino being forced to stripped down, like, really? WTF? That's not fanservice. It's just disgusting and not something I enjoy reading. He should be ashamed for writing it, though I can assure you he's not. He, along with a million other sick fucks, actually thought that was sexy... sigh Smdh at how screwed up the world is." What are your thoughts?

Hi Everyone! This is Ishthak in my first project - Ish's Shop - a place where you will learn the most interesting objects under the sign of Fairy Tail!
Why The Best? I'm the great fun of every jewelry, but most of those made for manga/anime series looks kinda cheap and lame. This little beauty is made from a real metal, with a blue crystal gem in the middle. Chain is included. Price: $19.90
I'm not sure, what the hell, author were thinking, but if you wanna wear it, be carefull - you can be mistaken with her (Natsu). Still, it's probably better then beeing mistake with a victim of electrocute (Gray) or with dinosaur...(Gajeel) Price: $49.90
Is it a pillow? Is it a hot water bottle? Nope. It's not. My dear guys/girls(?) - this is a modern version of mousepad. Yup a mousepad. Why is it so special - just because it's a 3D. You can use Lucy's (or Erza or Juvia's) boobies as a nice and soft pad for your wrist. Or use it just like that... Price: $29.99 (totally sold out xD)
