Welcome back :) I'm not going to give an explanation for last month's puzzle because most people seemed to get it okay :) It was Jude Heartfilia and I think Megaslut got it first in the end *pretends to clap and smile* Anywhoo, I clicked this here random button again and... arg :/ Hmmm... Well, let's see what I can do here... Your hint iiiiiiiiis: "Don't let it touch you. Just let it be, I hope this isn't too short, but this is one of those easy ones where if I hint too much you'll get it is a second :/
I- Chapter 391: Gray vs. Silver No special cover for this chapter, just Gray and Silver's fight's continuation. No time to waste space, said Hiro! Having in mind that he is, in fact, up against the Demon that took it all from him when he was a child, Gray struggles in his presence. However, this Demon proves to be stronger, easily pushing Gray aside like a piece of paper and even eating his ice! I wonder what ice ta- Wait, we should all know what ice taste like. But if you know what iron taste like... or lighting, I recommend you see Carry the Carrot. Meanwhile, we get a glimpse of Juvia's battle with the skeleton, who murmurs some suspicious comments. Back to Gray and his fathe- enemy, we see that Silver completely outclasses Gray, even his Demon's Rage is powerful! Being the fast thinker that he has been since the start of the manga, Gray creates a cannon and fires multiple rubble at Silver. Needless to say this shocks him. Talk about convenient rubble from a nearby grave, huh? >__> Any who, Silver eventually overpowers Gray again by freezing everything, but Gray uses the ice to his advantage to hit a "Demon" with Demon slaying Magic. However, it turns out that Silver is no Demon...he is a Mage in a guild filled with Demons! What did Mega think? I'm honestly getting tired of these chapters that only show the main character. But I don't know why, because with the Lucy-only chapters I was having so much fun, but now that Gray and Natsu and the others are back and are showing their lame battles, I feel unsatisfied. Overall, this fight has lived up to its hype, Silver did not go down in one chapter. That's a new one for Hiro~ He's usually trying to fit battles into one chapter. II- Chapter 392: I Must Not Forget Where do I even begin with this one... Oh boy. Welps, let's start with the awesome images of Fairy Tail Zero! Although not new, it's pretty damn awesome. :3 But moving on to the chapter, the cover features Natsu, Natsu being Natsu. Moving on, we see Wendy talking to Doranbolt. Am I the only one who was thinking (before she cut her hair), I wonder what she'll do with her hair. But it's funny, cuz while the world is about to end, me and Umnei are wondering what she'll do with her hair. \^__^/ I'm not particularly liking or hating the new style... Just doesn't feel like Wendy at all. She's all grown up *Looks at Pedos*. Anyway, Wendy claims that she wants to return to Magnolia to call for help to the other guild using Warren's ability. And I sure hope that other "guilds" includes Kagura-sama and the guilds Hiro ignores. I really hate how the new guilds have all been Dark Guilds. Why can't we get some cool, nice guild in some action. I'd like to see some Oracion-like arc after Tartarus~ FT joining with another guild. Shit, back to the chapter, we now move to the battles of the Demons and Fairies. Slver easily overpowers Gray, leading the Mage to resort to his Iced Shell. And after 7 Ice Dummies ( >___>) it is revealed that Gray will not throw away the lives who have kept him alive. In the end, he uses a new spell to enhance his throwing power. Making a hole through Silver's chest, Gray declares that he is aware that Silver is his father, actually... I thought the chapter and the concept was nice, but the outcome and how the fight was executed sucked ass. All that hype for nothing. We even moved half the shit on the wiki. But whatever, hopefully the future has something better in store for us. III- Chapter 393: Silver Memories For the cover this week we have Cana, Cana being sexy. :3 Welps, the battle of father and son comes to an end, with Silver revealing that he is not alive nor a Demon. He is just an empty corpse with memories of his family before the Deliora attack. We are introduced to a new character. Silver explains to Gray that he wanted to avenge his family, not hurt it. He wanted to kill any Demon in sight, thus why he learned the Magic and entered such a place. Gray understands, but makes a sword of ice as he yells that Fairy Tail's enemies shall be eliminated... But he can't do it. Silver is his father after all. I mean, almost killing him with a ball and everything wasn't so bad. But actually killing, forget about it! >___> Eventually, Silver gets up and hugs his son, Gray asking him to hug him for a while longer. Meanwhile, Juvia fights the Demon who is keeping Silver alive. Just then, Silver communicates with her, asking her to kill him; thus face will be eliminated. Can Juvia do it...? I thought this chapter was okay, a lot of feelings here and there. Found it a little ridiculous how Gray couldn't kill Silver, yet made a hole in his chest just second ago. :D IV- Chapter 394: Juvia vs. Keith Submissive Juvia for the cover this week!!! The battle with the Demons continues, but today we will focus on Juvia's battle with Keith. I am honestly bored with all of Juvia's battle...cuz, honestly, they're all the same. Gray-sama this, Gray-sama that. >___> Welps, but anyway, Juvia begins to fight him. Eventually, Keith grabs her from behind and makes her "explode." Gajeel took the words right out of my mouth: "No Fucking Way..." Hehehe. But nope, it turns out that Juvia was just hiding in his body. She makes him explode instead, lol. The chapter ends with a butthurt Juvia and Silver saying bye-bye, but he leaves Gray something...something that has the power to defeat E.N.D., a flame Demon. Hmm, so let me get this thing right. Gray is now an Ice Devil Slayer? >__> I really hope it's not a one time thing. I hope he can use it whenever he wants to. Cuz we have been getting a lot of those lately. I really wanna see something stay with someone. Not a Cana x Mavis thing. Oh, someone pointed something out on Tumblr, Lucy had the tattoos when the skeleton was pinning her down! Maybe it activates when Lucy is in trouble? :O Or maybe silly Hiro made a mistake again? .___.
Welcome to the latest issue of The Earth Land Chronicles. This article will a relatively sarcastic overview of things in the Fairy Tail series, which will Hello there, my amazing readers and...Rai. Whatever. With the Grand Magic Games over, we've now got a smaller scale to work with since there're no more cases of 80+ character appearing in one arc. Join me as we take a trip to the Village of the Sun. It's been a while since Fairy Tail won the Grand Magic Games and became famous once again. Since this happened, the guild building is back and better than ever and even comes with a brand new bath house. Naturally, we need to see some boobs and ass due to this, with soap covering all that we aren't allowed to see, and so we do for several pages. We even get some hints about Cana being bisexual. What does happen here though, which happens to be plot related, is that Flare of Raven Tail snuck in. That guild no longer exists for whatever reason, but now she has nowhere to go. Yet she doesn't wanna join Fairy Tail. Thanks for wasting our time ( ._.)/ Anyways, Lucy returns home and finds Erza and Wendy there, who just finished (poorly) acting out Rave Master in a play and wanna find Natsu and Gray. As it turns out, they've been in a forest for 3 days. Their job was to take out this gigantic Umnei and though they finished that, they've been fighting for three days, even punching Erza when she tries to get in between them. Obviously, that doesn't go too well. Returning to the guild, it seems that they do have a job now as a request from Warrod Sequen, one of the Four Gods of Ishgar. Meeting this dude, who happens to be one of the founders of Fairy Tail, they learn of a village that was protected by an ever-burning eternal flame but has now been frozen over. It seems both Gray and Natsu are needed for this, for whatever reason, and so they are gonna go with Erza, Lucy, Wendy and the two cats, cause the women need to provide some fanservice. Also, Warrod can create a tree that stretches 2000km which takes them to the village yet he says he has no battle capability. My ass. So, arriving at the village, they learn that it is a village of giants and is indeed completely frozen. However, a group of Treasure Hunters whose names are stupid and unimportant have a vial of "liquid moon drip" which they plan to use to unfreeze the village and steal the eternal flame. Erza remains to investigate while the others chase the treasure hunters to steal their moon drip. As it turns out, they won the "Grand Treasure Hunting Games"...yes, I made a long face at that as well. While they're not pushovers, the Mages don't exactly need to go all out and basically steal the moon drip and begin a game of hot-potato to keep it away from the treasure hunters, and it all goes well until Carla gets the idea to throw the moon drop to stupid Happy who, like every kid in school who was useless at sports, misses the target completely with a big smile on his face, and drops the ball, and in this case the moon drip. Yeah, fuck you, Happy. Anyways, it seems that the amount in the vial wasn't enough to unfreeze the whole village but from the part that was unfrozen, Natsu can hear voices coming from the ground and chases after them and no, it was not Minerva teleporting sound underground. But yes, Minerva is nearby and she has joined a dark guild called Succubus Eye and is there with Doriate, who turned Erza into a kid and does the same to Natsu, who got separated while chasing the voices he heard in his head. Hmm. Yeah, I can say it a lot, but it still sounds weird. So, Lucy and Wendy have to fight the treasure hunters together since Gray disappeared to some place but when they're nearly taken down, who should appear but Flare, who jokingly claims to have been stalking Lucy. Yeah...she crossed 2000km in this short-ass length of time. But hey, it seems she's from the Sun Village and was raised by the giants before she ran away. So the three girls take down the treasure hunters together. Who'd have guessed? Moving on, Natsu has been found by Minerva's partner Doriate and turned into a child, preventing him from fighting him effectively and forcing him to tuck tail and run like hell. Soon after, Gray also meets Doriate and is turned into a kid. Upon seeing Doriate's demonic mouth, he begins getting flashbacks of the dentist he visited. Alright, not really. They're flashbacks about Deliora. They basically make him piss his pants (yeah, I'm surprised too that he was still wearing any) until he gets a vision of Ultear telling him to be strong, which makes him fight back. This is actually a decent fight in a way since Gray doesn't have to really pull any bullshit at first. He just uses his child-like mind to creatively put down Doriate, but sadly, yes, he is that weak. Anyways, this pisses him off enough to turn everyone back to normal from afar and himself into a full demon (no InuYasha reference intended) only to just as quickly turn everyone back in to kids, even those who weren't kids like Lucy and co. Thankfully for him, but not for us though, Gray is able to put down Doriate by utilizing the village's ice in his own attack, which is effective against him (yet he was walking barefoot?). Quickly though, the dude is eaten by some monster just as he is about to tell Gray about "the gates to the netherworld opening". So, Gray runs like hell and soon runs into Natsu, who's met up with Lucy and co. who were brought to the frozen Eternal Flame by Flare. Natsu takes over the fight with the bird while Gray works to unfreeze the flame, which he does but seemingly causes it to disappear. However, Wendy says it still exists and thanks to Natsu going Dragon Ball Z on the bird, he is able to reignite the flame and via Wendy's Milky Way, we learn that the Eternal Flame is none other than Natsu's uncle Atlas Flame. Oh, and while all this is happening, Erza's been fighting Minerva, who claims to have found a way around her Armor of Nakagami, but there's zero development there, so screw it. Anyways, Atlas has lost his memory cause he was frozen by an Ice Devil Slayer but has the strength now to unfreeze the village, which he does. The village is saved and Atlas warns Natsu about E.N.D, the strongest of Zeref's demons and the one whom Igneel failed to kill. Then he disappears forever. Here's what you need to know about Chapter 354, where Flare returns home:
Rather disappointing end to this arc. Anyways people, that is all for this month. Thank you very much for reading. We will return next month for a look at the net arc: the Tartarus arc. Till then~
Carrot, what the hell is this? Nice to see you again~ In one of my polls a couple of months ago, you guys said that you wanted more differing genres - I guess outside the romance and adventure I usually find. Of course, I'm happy to comply, but just letting you know that finding a good fic outside of these genres is tough. First, you're lucky to find more than 20 fics in these less-popular genres, and even then 1/4 are about crap, 1/4 are barely in English and 1/4 are written with the characters being so OOC that they aren't even Fairy Tail fanfiction any more. With that said, the remaining 1/4 are still only good if they suit your tastes, so :/ However, I did try my best~ I hope you like what I found! Boyoyoyoyo!!
Of Guns, Guilds and Golden Rings, Western - Romance - BiscaXAlzack - One-shot - T "They say a smile goes a mile, but hers seemed to be travelling much further." The first genre I tried to delve into was 'Western'. I guess this is like the cowboy genre, or something? XD Hahaha, I've never looked for fics in this area before. Amusingly enough, one of the first stories I came upon was one about Alzack and Bisca, and I was actually very happy, because I don't recall ever reviewing a fic abut them even though I think they are awesome - both as characters and as a pair. So we get 'Of Guns, Guilds and Golden Rings', a story about Bisca travelling to Fiore and meeting Alzack. Now, this story was published before the omake where we found out exactly how Bisca was accepted into Fairy Tail, but surprisingly enough, the version provided by the author is rather similar - Bisca is invited by Erza after the two meet in a cake shop :P This story is short and to the point, but it also includes how Bisca and Alzack agreed to marry each other, following the canon idea that Bisca asked Alzack. It's cute and the setting at the start are well described. The story is a one-shot as it is part of a secret santa thing that was done on FF.net, but to be honest I actually wish this had been longer. It's rare that Bisca even appears let alone leads a story, and I wouldn't mind reading an entire multi-chapter fic about her. Alas, this is not it and (as far as I can tell) no such story exists (GO WRITE IT SOMEONE!!) but this is still a nice little entertaining story worth your 15 minutes :) I rate "Of Guns, Guilds and Golden Rings" a 8.4 out of 10. You can read Of Guns, Guilds and Golden Rings here. Wrought Iron Heart, by Miss Mungoe Sci-Fi - Romance - A/U - GajeelXLevy - Pantherlily - T "He'd been left to rust, a fitting penance for his failure. But it's not his Creator's hands that bring him back – these warm, calloused palms drawing life from cold mechanical limbs. She's his Saviour, and sometimes she makes him forget he is not of her kind." Next is sci-fi, and again, this is not a long fic. There were a couple of other, much longer, ones there that seemed interesting, but they were incomplete and hadn't been updated in over 7 months, so I was a little hesitant to look at and then recommend them. If you remember the first ever addition of Fairy Fiction you may recall Miss Mungoe, and if you do remember her, I'm sure you remember that she is an amazing writer. Nothing there has changed for this fic - her language, expression and general tone are all gorgeous and flawless, so I will have nothing to say in this area. 'Wrought Iron Heart' is written in response to a fanartist named blanania on tumblr (you might associate her with awesome GajeelLevy art and blamedorange). She posted some artwork with an A/U description and Mungoe decided to actually make her little idea a reality. As such this two-shot story is born. Only one half is currently published, but the second part is expected soon. The short chapter follows Gajeel, a robot belonging to the Phantom Lord company who is broken and left in pieces after a battle. He is found by Fairy Tail's mechanic Levy, who fixes him up, and re-wires him so that he is not a programmed soldier. Fairy Tail treats their robots as companions rather than soldiers, so Gajeel is weirded out being around them after his previous treatment. The first chapter is mostly flashback and location setting, but I can't say I didn't immensely enjoy it. Again, Mungoe is a fabulous writer, and I am interested to see what they second part holds, as I believe it will go more in-depth into the plot. If you are a GajeelLevy fan or a Mungoe fan, then this comes highly recommended~ I give "Wrought Iron Heart" an 8.7 out of 10. You can read Wrought Iron Heart here.
