Jellal Fernandes in a suit

Jellal Fernandes
This month's Sexiest Mage Alive is Jellal Fernandes. He's a 26 year old Mage of Crime Sorcière that employs Heavenly Body Magic as his main form of Magic. He is a childhood friend of Erza that was possessed by Ultear Milkovich and turned evil. After her influence was lifted from him, he realized the horrible things he had done, and dedicated his life to doing good.

Quote February

(Jellal Fernandes to Erza Scarlet)"It's your words that gave me courage. They became my light that would guide me towards the right path again"

TMITAJan12 - Ep116

In episode 116, The Power That Becomes Life, Ultear Milkovich and Gray Fullbuster continue their battle where Gray eventually emerges as the victor due to the memories of Ur.

Ultear wants revenge

Well, lets get to the most important part of the episode that everyone was waiting to see it being animated, the red ice. Even though, as everyone knows, the anime does not portray blood, it sort of did in this episode for the first time. The blood gushing out was made purple for some reason but the ice being filled with blood did not change. I'm just glad they didn't take the scene away or made Gray freeze another body fluid... One of the best moments was when Ultear summoned a Magic Sword and Gray jumped at her and the screen went dark several times; so epic. The music playing during her defeat and while she is just hanging in the ice is awesome, check it out in high volume if you can. Anyway, I hope one day the anime shows blood completely uncensored and I also can't wait to see Ultear stab herself.

TMITAJan12 - Ep117

In episode 117, Thunder Crashes, Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza and Wendy square off against Hades, where they are easily struck down. However, Laxus storms in to save the day.

Ready to fight Hades

Well, it has been quite some time since the anime last showed 3 chapters in one episode, but it makes sense because the middle part/chapter was fairly quick as it just contained the beginning of the boss fight. Anyway, I'm just glad that Zancrow is now dead in both the anime and the manga and I also liked Juvia in super creepy mode. The middle part of the episode, in which Chapter 243 was animated, only took 5 minutes! But those five minutes were amazing. I loved how Ice-Make: Cold Excalibur, Moon Flash and Unison Raid were animated. OMG! OMG! Bullet Magic finally was animated! It was so funny how he kept shooting everyone like a maniac. Also, go to 18:10 and hear Lily's voice, the big guy sounds like he is really scared of lightning. And finally, Laxus arrived and directly went to attacking Hades like bad ass he is, which made his biggest fanboy jump on one leg.

TMITAJan12 - Ep118

In episode 118, The Man Without the Mark, Laxus fights Hades managing to overpower him for sometime until he is defeated and gives his power to Natsu.

Bickslow ready to fight
Well half the episode was filler material so too bad for the ones that don't like them (yes, I'm talking about you DaRinor). Anyway, this episode was super funny simply because of one picture. Yes, if you've seen the episode you know what I'm talking about. I also liked that Yomazu and Kawazu said that they were just under the Seven Kin of Purgatory and that they were next in line to be part of the team because that means that Gajeel defeated two Mages whose combined powers could have surpassed one of the Kins. That's also awesome because Bicsklow was attacked directly by an attack that broke Gajeel's Iron Dragon's Scales but he just stood up without any injuries. Go Bickslow!
Go Laxus!!!
I hate how the anime keeps combining Magics making it seem like Unison Raid can be done easily (Btw, I know it was named Triple Unison Explosion). It makes Lucy strength not seem as high as in the manga, but then again, there was this. Now to the non-filler stuff. Well, it was nicely animated and I liked seeing Laxus beating Hades around. I laughed at Lucy almost getting hit by the giant sphere. But it ended in something that's been repeated several times before, Natsu getting another power up and now is going to go after the boss.
TMITAJan12 - Ep119

Natsu, entrusted by Laxus, seems to be able to hold his ground against Hades, but Hades still has something hidden up his sleeve under his eye patch XD

Hades' last stand

I wanted to do a "What the Fuck?" sections this issue too but the animators didn't really do many mistakes, so I just did a normal review. Ok, the fillers were TERRIBLE, in a terrible way. Freed and Bickslow having trouble with Yomazu and Kawazu? Hell no! And Elfman eating the Egg Wall made me barf. Bickslow having his dolls envelope themselves in Dark Ecriture: Pain kinda made me angry because of the whole "Anime keep combining Magics" I mentioned before, but it was done by Bickslow so I wasn't too angry, but angry nonetheless. Freed losing to Yomazu! What?! And leaving it to Elfman?! And beating him by screaming?! WTF?!?!?!?! Sometimes the anime makes me want to kill someone... Now to the non-filler stuff. At 5:50, there was this little dragon-like growl made by Natsu that sounded awesome. Natsu's powers while in Lightning Flame Mode were kinda nicely animated, but the fact that it was him having the power up... again... kinda ruined it for me. Happy getting angry at Pantherlily for bumping into Charle's but was hilarious and Charle's face (12:10) was priceless. Well, it seems that Hades can use Requip too and his heart looked really awesome. Did anyone else notice that Pantherlily had his armor back when he did his Battle Mode Shift? And with his new Musica Sword he made a lot of destruction with each swing. And lastly, even though I hated it in the manga, having Natsu's friends push him towards Hades was amazing in the anime.

This Month in the Manga

February 2012

We might as well start off! But first… Yeah, guys, there’s no escaping it…

I - Chapter 269: Vanish into the Stillness[]

TMITMJan12 - Ch 269

And here we go with a 27-pages chapter sporting three awesome coloured pages… Which we’ll describe later!

Starting this long chapter, after a brief appearance of Ultear and Meredy… Is a 2-pages long summary of the Games’ rules at Mavis’ hands… Completely useless for anyone who’s read the previous chapter… Seriously, you winged-headed brat, can’t you just f…ry some chips for us watching the tournament?

Uff… Close shave… Insults to children (or children-looking undeads, that is) might be terrible for an editors’ career.

Following such disappointing beginning, the chosen participants gather around Jack Skellington, still stranded there… YOU HAVE OUR UTMOST SUPPORT, YOUR MAJESTY!!! the pumpkin announcer, and, after some chitchat, are readied for the awaited Hidden event… A Magical city is created in the arena before their eyes, and they are split from one another inside it… Their goal? To play a hide and seek game, trying to strike their foes, avoiding being struck and being careful not to attack the myriads of their clones which are now casually walking around the newly-created built-up area… The first action will grant the participant one point, while the latter two will both take a point away from them. I admit that, Mashima, nice going! That hooded man in white over there is clapping his hands too

Most of the competitors walk around aimlessly as the public enjoys their suffering on gigantic screens… Much like in a reality show, that is. Juvia is fast to lose a point by hugging a Gray clone, much to the dismay and anger of her teammates. Seriously, girl, can’t you just go for a sex doll of him? With all the fangirls he has, finding one shouldn’t be a problem. Meanwhile, someone confronts Gray… Or rather Gray’s crotch, since Nulpting of Raven Tail hardly reaches up to the Ice-Make Mage’s hips in height. As Gray, thinking he’s found an easy prey, attacks him with a gigantic, cold flail, he loses a point… The cunning opponent, manoeuvring behind a copy of himself, prompted Gray to strike it. Clever. As Gray, having eluded the foe, tries merging in the crowd to go unnoticed, Nulpting goes for him again, sneak-attacking him from behind after enlarging his arm and covering himself in spikes like an angry, purple-colored hedgehog. Wonder wheter he made his way into our beloved famous series through recommendations

The chapter ends with a result of – 1 for Juvia, - 2 for Gray, and + 1 for Nulpting. Still many minutes left before the end… Who will emerge victorious?

The chapter comes with a 2-pages shot of the magically-created town, and, most importantly, with three coloured pages, one portraying Ultear and Meredy showing off their new outfits, and the other two… A series of awesome panels with all of the Games’ participants! Those are priceless for our Appearance sections! Yay! =D

II – Chapter 270: A Night of Falling Stars[]

TMITMJan12 - Ch 270

The chapter starts with Nulpting having the edge over his adversaries due to the point gained at Gray’s expenses. The spectators discuss on the various ways which could allow competitors to discover one another’s position, and Lucy takes a second to glance at Raven Tail… Just to be spotted by its female member, a psycho busty (!!!) woman who stares back in a creepy way. Whatever. Meanwhile, in the magically-generated town, a… Confrontation… Starts between Gray’s eyes. Why am I hesitating? Simple… Calling confrontation a clash between carrots, flytraps, ice and panties is quite e feat, I think. But, that’s how things are, and those are the abilities displayed by, in order, Beth, Yaeger, Lyon and Juvia… The results? All of the “fighters” are reduced to exactly 0 points, due to striking and subsequently being struck. Juvia goes on to say that she’ll defeat Gray. What’s the deal with this weird declaration? Again, simple… Makarov promised that the winning Fairy Tail team will have complete control over the losing one for a day, something which prompted Laxus and Mira to imagine themselves ordering their supposed “rivals” around, and Juvia and Gajeel to fantasize about being kissed by Gray and having a bunny suit-clad Lucy dance at his guitar’s sound, respectively. No, yaoi fangirls, you can’t switch the order. As everyone’s lost in the deranged twists and turns of their mind, Nulpting, now more reminiscent of a pufferfish than of a hedgehog (is he going to lose Sonic’s support?) strikes again, hitting Gray and Juvia. Seconds later, snow starts falling from the sky over the town… What’s up? Easy, that’s the doing of Eve, that useless guy from Blue Pegasus, who this time goes on the offense, revealing his foes through their shivers and breath and then striking several of them with blizzards. Nice going, Eve! Can’t believe you were an useless character in the past! No, wait, you still are… An useless character gifted with an awesome Magic. Just as the battle continues, we realize a certain someone hasn’t done anything yet… ‘Till now. Standing on top of a tower is Rustyrose Rufus, who, after some melodramatic speech, goes on to reveal ANOTHER awesome set of abilities… Molding Magic, Memory-Make! What?! He creates memories? Not that sure about that, but in some seconds most of the other participants are struck down by large beams, darting into the town which now is clad in darkness, as if it was night… Say, what does that have to do with memory? Is that supposed to be the memory of some cliché? No idea. Nulpting, having seemingly been the only one who avoided the... Thing… Goes on to the offensive, jumping from the ground to the top of the tower (???!!! So freakin’ cool!!!) and attacking Rufus physically… Only to discover that what’s left of him there is a memory, and to be struck. Mhm. Guess this is more appropriate for something called “Memory-Make”. As everyone looks on in surprise, avoiding to go “Oooooooooow” only because it would be another cliché, Nulpting appears behind Gray again to sodomize him… Gyah you fell for that! perform a flying spinning kick on him. Man, I think I’m starting to love that violet-colored pufferfish!

Still... There’s a saying in my country, derived from a song written by a famous musician (R.I.P.) which goes: “Dwarfs are always bastards, because their heart’s too near to their asshole”. Think it’s an appropriate saying for such case.

As Gray’s fans mourn and tear their hair off and the few guys capable of appreciating hand-to-hand combat cheer, the Hidden event ends… Ranking on top is Sabertooth, followed by Raven Tail, and the last places, seventh and eight, go to, respectively, Fairy Tail’s Teams B and A… Poor fellows. The public grabs the chance to make fun of their guild, much to Natus’s anger, and Gray, having left the field, swears revenge against Nulpting and Rufus… Kind of strange for him, but still…

So, here we are at the end of the chapter! Hereby is announced the first battle of the Grand Magic Games… Fairy Tail’s Lucy Heartfilia vs Raven Tail’s Flare Corona, the psycho busty (!!!!!! Is it me or they just got bigger?) girl from before… Confrontation awaits, keep following us!

What to say which could make a difference? The art’s good, and we get a 2-pages shot of Rufus sending beams all over the place, employing the Spell which is the chapter’s namesake. On the Cover we have the fattened-up Nab’s Guild Card. Mmmm, fat.

III – Chapter 271: Lucy vs Flare[]

TMITMJan12 - Ch 271

So, here we go with the Battle of the Babes you boys have been waiting for! After Mavis goes on to again sum up the previous event’s results in the Cover (seriously, is that the only thing you can do? Ah, no, wait… How could I forget… Poor Plot Armor as well!), the final picture from last chapter is reused (is Mashima short on pencils and inks or just lazy???) and Fairy Tail chitchats a bit, the awaited confrontation starts… Lucy goes on to the offensive and summons Taurus, who assaults the teasing Flare with his axe. Flare dodges by jumping (how are you supposed to jump with high heels? And, most importantly, where do those heels come from? They were nowhere to be seen before…) and, as Scorpio uses his signature Sand Buster against her, she releases her hair from her braids and shields herself from the attack! Looks like the second member of Raven Tail uses Hair Magic, uh. She’s not given enough time to play the peacock, as Taurus and Scorpio combine their assault to generate an awesome combo, which ends with Taurus’ axe and Scorpio’s sandstorms raining down on Flare. What to say… THAT WAS FRICKIN’ AWESOME! Nice going, Lucy! Flare feels the blow but doesn’t waver, instead shaping her hair into a large wolf which goes on to assault Lucy! This mighty attack is stopped by Cancer’s scissors, with the furry beast being turned into small tufts of hair. Flare doesn’t like the matter. She sends her hair underground and then uses it to grab Lucy’s ankles from below, subsequently smashing her around. Lucy, for her part, pulls out her Fleuve d’étoiles whip (how long has it been since she’s last used it? The Edolas arc?) and grabs one of Flare’s wrist, pulling her in midair as well. The two end up crashing on the sandy ground. The crowd cheers up the two female fighters due to the becoming less and less clothed as Lucy removes her boots, which have been badly damaged… Was it a result of Flare’s hair grasp? Does she uses some kind of corrosive shampoo? We don’t know, but the redhead’s surely upset for the “damage” her hair underwent: with bloodshot eyes, she goes on to send her hair underground again… Without sprouting it anywhere on the battlefield. Where did it go, wonders Lucy? Flare point at the stands… Where a small wisp of red hair is crawling unnoticed near to Asuka, Alzack and Bisca’s daughter. Lucy tries to give the alarm, but Flare shuts her up with her intrusive hair and knocks her on the ground. Spitting red hair like a shower pipe Lucy listens as Flare orders her not to say anything, if she wants Asuka to live. Mhm. Talk about foul-play. In comparison, maybe Nullpuding was being honest. Maybe even psychotic, big-boobed and leggy redheads can be bastards… However, I guess most of you would rather be cheated by them than by violet pufferfishes reaching up to your crotch who could headbutt your jewels, so PAY ATTENTION!.

As Lucy’s left to fight a losing battle, someone is shown staring at the scene from the shadowy stands… As the chapter ends, we’re introduced to the Chief of the Cherry Blossom Holy Night Squadron, Arcadias, the illegitimate son of Azuma and One Piece’s Kaku (I’m not adding a link because it might be a nice spoiler for those of you who don’t follow the series or haven’t read enough of it… If you wish, search at your own risk!), who talks to himself, asking “Lord” Zeref to sit back and wait.

Alright, my two-men hybrid knight… Feel free to call forth every legendary Dark Mage you feel like, but only ONCE the Games are over! Don’t you try to spoil such tournament to us, or we’ll kick your ass so hard your nose will become rounded!

Is that supposed to work? No idea.

No 2-pages panels this chapter, guys. The art’s good as always, and both Taurus and Scorpio are given new, fashionable outfits, fitting Lucy’s new level of power, while Cancer only goes on to change his shirt. It’s worth mentioning Arcadias’ gear, with his armor and sword being particularly elaborated, even bearing the emblem of Fiore’s supposed non-Magical armed forces, from the very first chapter of the series. After Quatro Cerberus, Mashima remembered about that too… Nice going sensei!

IV – Chapter 272:The Noble Loser[]

TMITMJan12 - Ch 272

Alright, here we go with the last chapter in our monthly review! Spare the tears for later, as the fight rages on! Lucy is ordered not to react by Flare, who then starts beating the girl up with her hair, much to the crowd’s dismay. Thinking of all the hopes that she had built on the Games, Lucy readies to surrender… Only to be gagged and restrained by Flare, who, apparently, has no intention of letting her new toy get away unharmed. The whacky woman ponders some ways to make her captive suffer, initially thinking about stripping Lucy naked in front of the huge audience occupying the stands, but then instead resolving to brand her with a burning Raven Tail mark, much to Lucy and our horror (ours is due to her retaining her clothes, obviously!). Flare must really use some weird shampoo to generate burning brands out of her hair… You know, the Italian way of saying “to be like a bear with a sore head” would fit such situation nicely… Whatever.

As Flare readies to cover a terrified Lucy’s Fairy Tail mark with the copied silhouette from her guild, Lucy's nakama… Stand still, noting that she is behaving strangely. HELLO??? Anybody there??? Your partner’s going to be horribly burnt, her honor as a Fairy Tail Mage obscured by a mark! None feels like, don’t know… Intervening? Someone does, as Natsu rushes to the stands, tearing the strand of hair which was threatening Asuka. As he states that he could hear “Asuka-chan” being pronounced in the two girls’ conversation, he goes on to comment that he’s got good hearing… What? An after effect of his fight with Cobra? No way to tell for sure, but pink hair’s intervention allows Lucy to summon forth Gemini to attack her opponent, freeing herself of Flare’s grip! The Celestial Spirit Mage then orders the twins to turn into herself… A towel-clad version of herself… And the “two” of them join hands, in order to enhance their Magic Power for the casting of… Yes, that’s what you were waiting for… As Rauleli comes and faints at the same time, Lucy uses it…

URANO METRIA!!!

The shining light of the stars invades the arena and nears the trembling, cowering Flare… Just to disappear into nothingness. Lucy shakes in surprise as her opponent looks up to the stands… Spotting her teammate Obra (the long-nosed fellow with the top hat), who nullified Lucy’s spell through unknown means. Lucy collapses to the ground, exhausted, as Flare is declared the winner. The crowd cheers for the redhead and some people wonder what happened, while others, namely Yajima, Makarov and Mavis, seem to have realized Raven Tail’s intervention… The still shocked Flare goes on to mock Lucy (you know, the one who caused her to shake and cower in fear just seconds before) and the crowd makes fun of Fairy Tail (damn turncoats). Natsu enters the arena, calmly encouraging the desperate Lucy and helping her on her feet as the chapter ends… And so does our review!

Well, what to say… Mashima’s good art likely went “overboard” with fanservice (after all, why choosing a girl-on-girl battle right at the beginning otherwise?), but I think almost everyone was at least slightly touched by Lucy’s Urano Metria, which received a 2-pages panel… Well, “slightly” for anyone who didn’t collapse, that is. All in all, a great chapter to end our review! See you in the next review, keep following the Sorcerer Magazine, bad boys!

Welcome to Crocus Pocus! Fond of quizzes, puzzles or some other random game that would help you pass the time? Then this is the place to go! Each month, this article will feature a different set of games (that is, if I don't fall victim to laziness that I fail to be innovative with this). No, not flash games that would lead you to endlessly waste your time relentlessly playing like Cubefield or Robot Unicorn Attack (though if I figure out how, I might...). Just games that I can conjure up with a little bit of imagination, my love for Fairy Tail and the trusty photoshop.

Blood Ice Blade
Gray vs. Ultear

This fight started off pretty good and truthful. Ultear was beating Gray's ass displaying not only immense skill with her Magic, Arc of Time, but some excellent Hand to Hand combat feats as well, but this fight, like any other match involving a member of Team Natsu, besides, of course, our favorite female knight, Erza Scarlet, quickly went down the drain. Ultear was the most powerful member of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, yet she lost the match, because of bull crap reasons: Firstly, she fell off of a cliff into water, which would be fine, but the water just happened to be her mother. Really Mashima? There are billion of gallons of water in the world and Ultear just happens to fall into her mother and start seeing her mothers memories. Secondly, after she gets all caught up in her mothers memories, Gray somehow managed to defeat her with his ice attack which is just garbage. As I said earlier, she's the most powerful member of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, so I doubt some pitiful attempt at an attack from Gray could actually defeat her. I realize that Gray had to win in order for the story to progress forward, but I'm not going to lie and say I'm happy about it. Overall, I'd give this fight 7/10.

This fight, like Gray vs. Ultear, was pretty good.....until the end. But, before we get into the bad, let's discuss the good. Hades was a beast. He managed to make quick work of Team Natsu, though, to their credit, they were completely battle worn. But nonetheless, it was good to see Team Natsu losing for once. And what was probably the best part of this fight was THE RETURN OF LAXUS. Laxus, for all of you who aren't aware, is one of the most epic characters in the series so to see him back in action is awesome. He even got to beat up on Hades for a little bit, although we all know he couldn't even make Hades sweat, it was good that he got his time to shine. Though, after this point, the fight starts to go down hill, instead of Laxus continuing to fight until his inevitable defeat, he gives his power to Natsu, lame, annoying, Natsu, and I was pissed. IT MADE NO SENSE!! Mashima just wanted to have his main character defeating the main villain again and it was garbage. Though, Laxus giving his power to Natsu wasn't enough, it took the three Exceed destroying Hades' heart that was located in his ship for him to be defeated, but even so, it was still terrible. So this fight gets a 6.5/10 rating.

Wendy disappears
Team N vs. Hades
Wolf Fang
Lucy vs. Flare

This fight was pretty good. I was extremely pleased with it because it showed one thing....Lucy's no longer trash. For the longest she's been garbage when it comes to fighting stronger opponents, she'd always need Loke or Plot Magic to save her. To see her fighting on her own and actually beating some ass is great. The fact that she was able to summon two spirits at a time, and have them combining techniques was epic. What's even more epic is her using Urano Metria by herself!.....okay, she did have to use Gemini, but when Celestial Spirits are summoned in battle they aren't considered separate people, but Magic fighters summoned by their owners, and thus, Lucy did it by herself....sorta, lol, I'm talking in circles. At any rate, it was epic. Flare, was a bit of a disappointment, but not because of her Magic, I've actually grown to like it despite me hating it at first. I was disappointed because I thought she'd be super strong/crazy/epic but she wasn't. She ended up being nothing more than a character created strictly to show off Lucy's new moves. That's not to say she couldn't have a bigger role in the manga later, but for now, she's just what I described her as. Though, while we're talking about Flare, did anyone else notice the greatest trait(s) about her?Perv ........Moving on. Flare was also a disappointment because she's a cheating whore. Her and that Obra dude have officially went on my Least Favorite Characters list. There's nothing that I hate more than dishonesty and lies, but then again, this is Raven Tail, what did we expect?

I didn't feel like loading the episode, so I didn't watch this battle. I read the summary we have on the website. XD. Let's hope the summary doesn't lead me wrong. From what I read, this battle was okay, but it was sorta stupid and served no other purpose than to fill up space. Good to see some less important members of Fairy Tail fighting so I guess that's pretty good. Not really much to say about this fight, but I'd give it a 6/10, once again, from what I read.

Bickslow and Elfman vs. Kawazu and Yomazu
F, B
Girls stand against Kain
C, L, L vs. Kain

This fight was okay. It was short and more of a space filler than anything else. It was good to see three characters who are always thrown to the side actually fighting. Kain, was not nearly as hilarious as he was in his initial appearance, but that could be because I wasn't in the mood to watch any anime. Cana, of course, is the only one of the three who has been shown, (at the moment), to have any skill in battle, but since they've all have been training in preparation for the Grand Magic Games, it would be presumptuous to count them out now, though that's getting off topic. All in all, I'd give this fight a 6/10. Not great, but not terrible either.

Short Description
Attraction Magic (魅力野魔法 Miryoku no Mahō) is a type of Caster Magic that causes people of both genders to become infatuated with the user. It is also able to influence the target's mental condition somewhat. Being immune to this Magic's effects is common to those particularly in love with someone. The Charm Magic was derived from witnessing this magic, but it is weaker in certain areas. 200px-Attraction_Magic.jpg

This month's third featured fanon:
Name of Fanon Blood Magic Original's Link Fairy Tail Fanon Wiki
Author Zaraikou Date Extracted February 29, 2012
Short Description
Blood Magic is now a long forgotten ancient relic of the past, with the magic’s origin dating back to at least 500 years. This type of forbidden magic was commonly used during the time when the Dark Wizard Zeref was still terrorizing the world. It has long since been out of use, in order to make way for more safe and practical forms of magic used by current day mages, though there have been reports of dark mages still trying to utilize blood magic. In the present day, blood magic is descried as being one of the more "sinister" types of ancient magic. 200px-Blood_magic.jpg

Aldarinor Real Tail
Aldarinor | Writer

RT Header-Jan12

Welcome

Welcome, my dear readers, to another, exciting issue of Real Tail! Here is you favourite writer, Aldarinor!

You know guys, you’ve been bad, bad boys. I was expecting some suggestions, some facts you’d want me to publish, and instead… Nothing. A complete lack of ideas from the public. That’s baaaad guys. For this little prank, all of you guys will receive… DEATH!

Alright, just joking. A simple joke. I’ll just torture you a bit and then…

They informed me from the direction that I’m not allowed to kill and/or torture users who don’t submit suggestions… For now. Looks like you’re lucky this time, guys! Let’s see whether that luck’s bound to last.

Creepy beginning aside… Let’s start!
Stone Eyes/Medusa Real Tail
Alright folks, guess all of you remember Evergreen, that geek fairy wannabe who’s always hanging around with the more prominently featured Freed and Bickslow. Well, I might assume you also remember about her Magic, Stone Eyes… The ability to turn everyone who looks directly in your eyes into a stone statue.

Medusa Eyes
Flare/Medusa/??? Real Tail
Only those of you who’ve been following the series ‘till its latest chapters might know Flare. Well, just to inform those poor guys who hadn’t heard of her yet… She’s the only woman in the Raven Tail group taking part in the Grand Magic Games… And she’s hot. Lol. That’s what you need to know about most supporting female characters Mashima ever comes up with. Anyway, her Magic’s just RECETNLY been revealed to be Hair Magic (remember Vidaldus Taka? No? Well, I’m not making a summary for him ‘cause he’s not involved, go read his page, which I even linked, you loony toons!), which, predictably, allows her to control her hair as she wishes (incredible, who would have said that?). Well, the Τόπος (yes, I’m SO using this word from now on, so bear with it! Just know that its meaning is roughly that of “stereotype”…) of women manipulating their hair to inflict pain likely stems, again, from Medusa’s story… Having hair which twists and bends to your will isn’t that different from having snakes doing the same, right? Well, hair doesn’t have to eat… Or to drink… To sleep…

… To crap…

Brrr.

Whatever.

Medusa
Flare/Little Red Riding Hood Real Tail
What’s most interesting about Flare, however, isn’t her possible connection with Medusa… But rather her being likely inspired after an unlikely character. I’ll try to get you there. Now, think. We’ve got a red-clad girl with childlike braided pigtails (though the rest of her could hardly be called childlike… Side note!) who seems to be often paired with a wolf created with her own hair… A girl in red… And a wolf… Did a bell just ring in your heads?

… No? Maaan, what a public I’ve got…

I’ll tell you… The character I’m talking about is Little Red Riding Hood. Guess I don’t need to explain, you’re all supposed to know. And if you don’t… What kind of childhood did you have?!

Red Riding Hood
San Jiao Shin/Guan Yu Real Tail
Alright, here comes a character most of you might not even remember. Let me refresh your memory (though you could do it by visiting said character’s page… But let’s just assume you can’t): he was a heroic general who, at some time, fell after the control of Caprico/Zoldeo’s Human Subordination Magic (search information about those fellows I just mentioned by yourselves!).

Foreign-Finds

The members of Fairy Tail have been fascinated with the technologies and products of foreign lands, and so they have taken the liberty of reviewing them and picking out the best ones to recommend to our dear readers so that you may experience the same splendor they did...

Foreign Finds - Chibi Lucy
Foreign Finds - Chibi Levy

For this month, Lucy and Levy recommend Shatter Me, penned by author Tahereh Mafi. It is the first book of the Shatter Me trilogy, a dystopian thriller. The story of The Killing Mage has been lost for centuries in the records of Fiore. It is a story of a terrifying man with incredible powers that he used for the most dishonorable deeds. Shatter Me contains something similar. There is a girl with an incredible power, unique in the human race, the girl with the fatal touch... incarcerated for murder. She is feared yet she is also wanted for the most nefarious reasons. What could be the fate of this unfortunately extraordinary girl?

Laxus Chibi

So it turns out Evergreen tweaked last month's playlist so it would look like Laxus is an Adele fan to which Laxus raised an eyebrow and so, he decided to personally hand over this month's playlist! Does that mean Laxus is not actually an Adele fan? Well, who knows? But really, who wouldn't be a fan of the six-Grammys-in-one-night winner of 2012?

  1. Perfect by Simple Plan
  2. You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC
  3. Brown Sugar by The Rolling Stones
  4. Jailhouse Rock by Elvis Presley
  5. Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin

Preview for Ep 100

Perhaps you have heard of the statement, "And may the odds be ever in your favor!". Now let me ask you, where did that come from?

From the best-selling epic novels, The Hunger Games, comes its film adaptation, starred in by Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen ("That's one badass girl!" says Loke), Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark and Liam Hemsworth as (*author temporarily faints*) Gale Hawthorne. The movie will hit the screens on the 23rd of March, though some lucky bastards might be able to watch early screenings on the 21st. Loke hints, "Save up, man. Chicks love action movies as much as you do."

Loke's shoutout to girls: Hey ladies! Some unlucky girls might be able to score Capitol-quality box seats from me. Who's interested? *wink*

Let the 74th annual Hunger Games begin!

Foreign Finds - Chibi Elfman

January's Man of the Month, according to Elfman, is the game Battle City, which is basically a pretty old but still awesomely addicting game. It was first released back in 1985 for the Nintendo Family Computer (if you had one of these, you're a man!) and in it, you are, in simple terms, a tank protecting your base (and yourself!) from enemy tanks. While it's true that Grand Theft Auto tanks are 3D and make vehicles explode on impact, these Battle City tanks are still manly in their own way and have that retro feel to it. No, that does not mean you are old. IT MEANS THAT YOU'RE A MAN!

Manly Challenge of the Month: Beat Elfman's score!
Elfman's Battle City score (Nintendo FamiCom): 200,750

Jakuho's Corner

IamJakuhoRaikoben
IamJakuhoRaikoben is the founder of Jakuho's Corner, as well as its sole editor. His goal in its founding was to keep editors and viewers of the Fairy Tail Wiki informed on the latest rumors, gossip, and facts about the Fairy Tail Series.

Welcome

Welcome to "Jakuho's Corner", your source for Fairy Tail rumors, chapter info, interviews, and more!
Rumors

Note: Do not assume the following are definitely true. These are all rumors that I got from one of my many sources:
  • Some good news for Fairy Tail fans from Mashima in the 50th issue of Shonen Magazine. (It's about the movie.)
  • Hades may not be dead. (New)
  • Why Mavis looks young may be touched in a future. (New)
Interviews

Hello everyone! Today we will be interviewing with the Chairwoman of the Policy & Standards Council herself, -jabberjay.

Fairy Tail Wiki: Tell us a little about yourself.
-jabberjay: I'm -jabberjay, the Chairwoman of the Policy & Standards Council, one of the few girls in this wiki and probably one of the youngest users too. I'm easily identifiable by my lovely purple link which you may chance upon once in a while in the Wiki Activity feed. I'm an avid GajeelxLevy fangirl and one day, I'm going to learn Russian and French.

Fairy Tail Wiki: How did you first discover the Fairy Tail Wiki?
-jabberjay: I remember I was searching for a synopsis for Episode 49 because the online player decided to stop working in the middle of the episode so I got annoyed. I read the synopsis posted here and that's how I discovered the Fairy Tail Wiki.

Fairy Tail Wiki: What 5 tips would you give new users on the wiki?
-jabberjay:

  1. Read and follow the policies!
  2. If in need of help, consult our admins and Policy & Standards Councils Members. They're hilarious and nice, as long as you don't break policies. They turn into hydras then :)
  3. Join our guilds and help out!
  4. If called out on breaking a rule, don't whine about it.
  5. Enjoy yourself!

Fairy Tail Wiki: What would you like to see on our wiki that isn't already there?
-jabberjay: Tacos Lol. I dunno. Maybe an official random crap forum XD

Fairy Tail Wiki: How long have you been a member of the Policy & Standards Council?
-jabberjay: Almost eight months.

Fairy Tail Wiki: Do you enjoy the job?
-jabberjay: Single-click undo button + customized colored link + virtual authority = Awesome

Fairy Tail Wiki: Rumor on the street is that you have an announcement, would you mind sharing it?
-jabberjay: RUMOR HAS IT DUN DUN DUN.

Well, actually... I'm leaving the wiki. You know how I'm sort of inactive lately? That's because of a crapload of schoolwork, and that sucks, but it's also because of health problems. I'm not going to go into detail about how this condition has existed in me for the last fifteen years, so I'll just cut it short and say that due to this health problem (and also my mother's as she needs to be operated on soon), my dad decided to cut my internet so the money could be used for medical purposes. I didn't want my internet to go bye-bye for obvious reasons, but dad said it's either the internet or my school tuition, so that left me with no choice but to let him cut the internet. So yeah. No more purple-linked lady on the wiki.

Fairy Tail Wiki: Do you have any parting words for the members of the wiki?
-jabberjay: To whoever's going to inherit my guild, YOU BETTER DO A GOOD JOB RUNNING THIS, OR ELSE I'LL SEND YOU A SPECIAL PACKAGE OF DEATH EATERS.

To the Anime Summary Guild, thanks for all your hard work and contributions to the wiki. It was a pleasure being your boss, despite being the moody boss that I am. You guys better catch up in the Guild Competition!

To Rai, can I keep my purple link forever? XD

To the admins and the Policy & Standards Council members, I enjoyed enforcing rules and playing cop with you guys (though it's the admins who get the fun responsibility of blocking abusive users). I hope y'all stay awesome!

To everyone else, the wiki was a really big part of my past year. There's a balance of work and fun here. We have that lighthearted vibe even if we're discussing business stuff like what goes on articles and things like that, 'cause the users here are the masters of off-topicness. And I guess what kept me working at this wiki for so long (and even longer if only my internet wouldn't be cut) was how the staff ran this joint and how the users respond and interact with one another. I mean, every Saturday, I know that some retarded conversation would be going on in Rai's review blog and I'd be itching to get my work done so I could read it. When we have discussions, people get off-topic and random and it makes the wiki more inviting somehow, despite how off-topicness might slow a discussion down XD What really excited me about the wiki was the recent Sorcerer Magazine and how I would get to write for it. I was like, "Fuck, this is going to be fun! Another excuse to not do my homework!" And then this happened so I was like, "Shit, man. The Force is not with me in this one." It sucks quite terribly, but oh well. What's remarkable about the wiki is that we're not just individuals doing their own contributions. We're a team here, as cheesy as that sounds. So I hope you guys stay just the way you are. Keep having retarded conversations that people enjoy to stalk! See ya someday. Stay in school and don't do drugs! Love,  -jabberjay

Well, you heard it here folks, our Chairwoman, -jabberjay, is leaving. Everyone wish her the best, and yes -jay, you can keep the purple link :). Tune in next time for the next addition of Jakuho's Corner.

Nostalgic-Magic

Hi. This is the second and the last of the monthly shots of nostalgia I can provide for you Fairy Tail fans and wiki readers out there. With the quick progress of the series, we've been slowly forgetting the awesome moments of Fairy Tail's past, and so Nostalgic Magic aims to prevent memory loss by reminding you of the Fairies' history as well as stab you a hundred times over with a bayonet while screaming "ARE YOU NOSTALGIC YET?!?!?"

This Month's Feature:

The-Mighty-Thunder

No one can forget the face of the man that sent a guild of a hundred into a civil war. What was the purpose of this man? Wasn't it because he was power-hungry and wanted to control Fairy Tail so he can mold it into the guild he wants: feared, dominating and the single best? His defeat resulted into his excommunication for threatening the lives of his guildmates. Perhaps he would have been doomed to a life of shame... or would he?

On the contrary, this man eventually made amends and was welcomed back in the guild with open arms. This month's feature is Laxus Dreyar, the mighty thunder.

I'm gonna surpass you one day. Not for my father, but for myself. So I can become a man in my own right.

—Laxus Dreyar, Attack! The Great Kardia Cathedral

The Fighting Festival arc was famous for the civil war within Fairy Tail, initiated by Laxus Dreyar and newly-debuted Thunder God Tribe. For the arcs before this, Laxus seemed like a thunderous asshole. Arrogant. Selfish. Rude. Proud. And of course, kind of scary. Though he has a huge fanbase now, filled with enough fangirls and fanboys, he wasn't exactly the most loved character before.

In the Galuna Island arc, Laxus paid Natsu, Happy and Lucy no mind when the guild found out that they stole an S-Class request that was potentially dangerous. In the Phantom Lord arc, he made Mirajane cry (someone's going to get him for that!), blamed Lucy for the trouble caused upon the guild and criticized the members for being weak when he did not actually lend a hand in the war.

The events in the Fighting Festival arc were the peak of his madness. Let us witness this comic strip!

To step out of his grandfather's shadow and to be recognized as a man of his own, he attempted to surpass him, he attempted to do the things Makarov couldn't through radical methods. Laxus lost himself in his desire to pursue power and strength. This could have led him to his continuous downfall unless he worked for reform.

True enough, Laxus crashes through Tenrou Island in the last arc and gets back in Fairy Tail thanks to Gildarts and his clever use of his Master rank. I guess that with time, we learn to like our characters, don't we? I mean, you know, as long as that character's name is not Natsu Dragneel.

What is required to enter Fairy Tail?
A: A soul that I can control
Can the Fairy Tail Mages receive official training by their fellow guildmates?
A: Yeah, but it's not like I'd ever need it
Girls who can afford to pay the rent have Fairy Hills. What about boys? Is there a male dormitory?
A: It's not the guild's property, but most men stay at "that place" (name must not be mentioned). It's located right next to the women's public bath. Every night we hop onto the roof and watch them bath Perv
Do you think the anime should portray blood?
A: Yes, blood is always good. I like to see tons of them spill everywhere! Ain't that right babies?! Mwahahahahahaha!
Will the world end in 2012?
A: Nah, the world won't end until Laxus becomes Guild Master.

Erza Scarlet
What is required to enter Fairy Tail?
A: Be a loyal fighter who cares about your friends above all else.
Can the Fairy Tail Mages receive official training by their fellow guildmates?
A: Sure, I've whipped Natsu and Gray into shape over the years.
Girls who can afford to pay the rent have Fairy Hills. What about boys? Is there a male dormitory?
A: Boys all staying together? You mean like a sleep over for guys? That's a bit inappropriate isn't it.
Do you think the anime should portray blood?
A: Of course, what's the point of me shedding so much blood if it's never shown.
Will the world end in 2012?
A: No, as long as we have each other, we can overcome any obstacle, even the "supposed" end of the world.
Ishthak Ishthak | Graphic Designer
Gajeel Redfox
What is required to enter Fairy Tail?
A: Nerves of Steel.
Can the Fairy Tail Mages receive official training by their fellow guildmates?
A: Official not but Erza could give you a cute 5 day crash training from hell.
Girls who can afford to pay the rent have Fairy Hills. What about boys? Is there a male dormitory?
A: Particularly not.
Do you think the anime should portray blood?
A:
Will the world end in 2012?

What is required to enter Fairy Tail?
A: Nothing really, we'll happily accept anyone!!
Can the Fairy Tail Mages receive official training by their fellow guildmates?
A: Hmmm....well, I taught Lisanna and Elfman some of their techniques, does that count?
Girls who can afford to pay the rent have Fairy Hills. What about boys? Is there a male dormitory?
A: Yep, but no one stays in it, Master opened one up not too long ago, but nobody wanted to pay the rent he was charging.
Do you think the anime should portray blood?
A: Well, that'd be a bit scary for children watching the show wouldn't it?
Will the world end in 2012?
A: What's 2012? Is that a year or something?
Rauleli Rauleli | Writer
Jellal Fernandes (disguised as Mystogan)

A: *Thinks: What would Mystogan say?* You need to have good intentions... or something
Can the Fairy Tail Mages receive official training by their fellow guildmates?
A: Yes, I was told I... I had a disciple named Mest *Thinks: I hope that's what Master Makarov said when he was explaining to me what to do*
Girls who can afford to pay the rent have Fairy Hills. What about boys? Is there a male dormitory?
A: Uhmmm, yes. Yes, we do.
Do you think the anime should portray blood?
A: Yes, just not my beloved Erza's blood
Will the world end in 2012?
A: *Thinks: World ending? I think Gajeel said something about that* Yes, Magic will be sucked out and the world will end.

What is required to enter Fairy Tail?
A: Booze!
Can the Fairy Tail Mages receive official training by their fellow guildmates?
A: Not unless there's booze or some other form of compensation involved.
Girls who can afford to pay the rent have Fairy Hills. What about boys? Is there a male dormitory?
A: Nah. Most of the boys just pass out in the guild basement.
Do you think the anime should portray blood?
A: Hell yeah! Being a Mage isn't just about pretty flashes of lights. There's gore in it too!
Will the world end in 2012?
A: My alcohol doesn't expire, so the world won't either!
-jabberjay -jabberjay | Writer
Lucy Heartfilia
What is required to enter Fairy Tail?
A: Love and Loyalty!
Can the Fairy Tail Mages receive official training by their fellow guildmates?
A: That's a good idea. The stronger ones can help out those who aren't as strong (like me...) in the rough spots. It's scary if it's Erza though...
Girls who can afford to pay the rent have Fairy Hills. What about boys? Is there a male dormitory?
A: Come to think of it... is there?
Do you think the anime should portray blood?
A: *shiver* Even I think blood is kind of creepy...
Will the world end in 2012?
A: Hahahaha! The world's not going to end yet! ...or is it? It's not, right? Right?
