Woohoo, my internet is finally working. I can finally actually do something
This is going to be short as literally nothing happened on 90% of the pages. Nobody cares what happened in the beginning, nobody cares about Natsu jumping around throwing fire. The only thing that happened in this chapter is that Mashima gave in to the stupid fan theories and made the eternal flame turn out to be Atlas Flame. Really Mashima? You went along with that stupid theory? Have you forgotten that there are not supposed to be any dragons left in the world? So Atlas Flame has just been chilling in one place this entire time pretending to be a giant fire? Lame. If he was dead yet his body kept burning, I would have less of a problem with it. But the fact that there is now a dragon still in this world despite that it has been said since the beginning that all dragons are gone makes me strongly dislike this chapter.
Bla Bla Bla Hitsugaya won. Bla Bla Bla Omaeda trying to act tough. Lets get to the point. Sui-Feng re enters the scene and Jakuwhore creams his pants. This is where things get interesting. Sui-Feng, unlike Hitsugaya, has never really relied on her Bankai. The fact that it was stolen probably makes her happy. The interesting point of this chapter for me was that she has completed Shunko and it seems that Shunko is element based, which we didn't know before. Unlike most of Kubo's new reveals, this one doesn't break canon. Being that Sui-Feng's is wind based, it would seem Yoruichi's is lightning based due to the large amount of electricity seen when she used the ability. I was pretty pleased with the way things went as I have always liked Shunko and wanted to see more of it. The end was also pretty good. One of the major problems with this arc so far is the one chapter fights. So Hitsugaya and Sui-Feng both win in one chapter like Kubo likes to do now but it seems its actually not over and their opponents are still more than capable of fighting. Maybe Kubo is starting to listen to the complaints? I don't know but I am hoping for actual good fights like we got out of the Arrancar arc. Hell, Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra was like 12 chapters.
Hmmm, which was better, 15 pages of an idiot jumping around throwing a fire with an enemy only visible in about three of those pages, or the reveal of a new side of a technique that was only seen twice before and has always been a fan favorite. Yeah, Bleach takes it with ease this week. I think this FT arc is coming to a close now and all I can say is good riddance. This has been a terrible arc. I don't know what Mashima has been smoking but this arc has just been bad. Don't get me wrong, Bleach is still on a horrible downward spiral, but at least there is some interesting stuff happening.
Thats all for this week. As always, comments are very welcome, so comment away.
