Before the traditional weekly review, I've an announcement to make. I am going away until mid-March, due to exams! So this will be my last review in a while. And...well, that's all, just thought I'd also announce it in my weekly blogs :D see ya all later!
We have Gray in the cover this time speaking of his will of ice...unimportant, I know, but anyway. Just when I think that Erza is really going to forfeit and offer her life, ignoring all her character development during the Tower of Heaven Arc, she stops Kagura and tells her that she cannot die.
You know shit gets real when she requips to her I'll kick your ass "armor", which is simplistic yet overflowing with nakama power, thus guaranteeing a win. Kagura on the other hand, becomes a wacko and says she will kill both Erza and Jellal.
From now on, it is a classic Erza fight. Getting her ass terribly kicked in the first chapter, easily winning in the second one. Disappointment ._. but hey, wait, Kagura stands up again! And...something from above is about to crush Kagura, but Erza rushes and saves her. But the good thing is...
Flashback time! We get to learn more about Erza's past before the Tower of Heaven. She and Kagura(and Simon) all come from the same village, named Rosemary(now the title of the chapter makes sense). Erza helped Kagura save herself, but in the process got herself captured. Yeah, and that's all, Kagura is on the good guys side now. To me, it was a little cheesy, but whatever, the interesting part came afterwards...
As Kagura says the usual "good guy in denial" lines, A WILD AWESOME MAGNIFICENT AND EPIC MINERVA APPEARS, TO STAB HER WITH A SWORD IN THE BACK, ACQUIRING 5 POINTS FOR SABERTOOTH!!!!
Oh, and Mega...
Hahaha...yeah, I enjoyed this chapter >_> I was looking forward to Minerva finally arriving and fighting. She stabbed Kagura to get 5 points and show Erza how a true king fights, and now Erza is mad and will probably avenge Kagura. However, the title of the next chapter (The Future Runs Towards Despair) makes me think that perhaps she will lose. Or maybe it has to do with the Future Lucy crap. Eh, we'll see soon enough.
I found this chapter (the flashback part of it) kinda good. I liked learning more about Erza prior to the Tower of Heaven Arc. I also liked the twist at the end. But that's all, not as an exciting chapter as the one before. So, here are my ratings:
