The Killing Mage and his abilities

I agree with Daikari about this mage being only a fragment of the great evil Zeref but that he is somehow tied to the dragons and their disappearance, maybe he is a dragon slayer perhaps of the dark kind? Also the way he knew who Natsu was because the dragon slayers weren't all by accident and are part of some prophecy.
