Team Fairy Tail A & B Unite is an event which takes place during the Grand Magic Games arc in which Grand Magic Games teams Fairy Tail A and Fairy Tail B unite to form one team representing their guild.

PrologueEdit

After the turn of events in the Naval Battle, Lucy Heartfilia is severely injured by Team Sabertooth's Minerva as the match is ended due to Lucy's condition.

Minerva smiles proudly as she holds a heavily beaten Lucy from the neck up outside the sphere.^[1] The medics rush as Minerva tosses the injured Lucy to the ground. Natsu Dragneel and Gray Fullbuster run and catch the injured Mage just before she hits the floor.^[2] Wendy Marvell and Chelia Blendy rushes to heal Lucy's wounds. Erza Scarlet together with Natsu and Gray glares at Team Sabertooth as the team glares back. Erza stops the two from starting a fight as she states that Sabertooth has angered the worst guild to do so.^[3]

Afterwards, Lucy's wounds are healed with the help of Wendy and Porlyusica while she lies in her bed as her teammates watch over her. Soon after, Lucy's consciousness returns as she apologizes for her failure but Gray informs her that she earned 8 points. Lucy cries about her keys but Happy returns them to her as she soon falls asleep.^[4]

Uniting Team A and BEdit

Makarov Dreyar arrives at the scene and states that the administration has decided to combine Team Fairy Tail A and Team Fairy Tail B. Makarov explains further that it is due to Team Raven Tail's disqualification making it troublesome to have an odd number for the matches and battles so they must re-organize the team with 5 members.^[5] The points of Team Fairy Tail A will be kept as the new team's points.^[6] On the next day of the battles, the new team, composed of Erza, Laxus, Gajeel, Natsu, and Gray walks to the arena with the desire to seek revenge on Team Sabertooth.^[7]

AftermathEdit

When the six teams reach in the arena, each of them readies to fight. Meanwhile, Datong notices Lucy's absence from Team Fairy Tail.^[8] Arcadios explains her condition as he tells Datong to enjoy the festival as three days from now, the Eclipse Plan would be set into motion.^[9] Now, with no way of stopping the plan and the Tag Battles about to begin, the members of Team Fairy Tail and Sabertooth stare each other down as Datong heads towards a carving of a Dragon and a man battling against each other and states that the festival goes by another name: The Dragon King festival.^[10]
