I thought his name was Lyon Bastia?
Bastia is the fan translation. Vastia is his real name from the Official English Version, with name given by Hiro Mashima himself. ChaosKnight 07:17, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

If their given in the English Volumes then their the official names. Mashima DOES give them as these are the names he intended to have be in english No dispute. "Bastia" was always a fan translation name. And until the official english volume that stated Lyons last name came out, Bastia was used. talk Garyness February 05, 2012 (UTC)

how bout you calm down first of all. Theres no need to get hyped up on a forum. Secound of all, if you read the link provided if you actually buy a volume theres a note in it that says these are the official spellings. What more evidence do you want, a phone convo with him? Yet you keep ignoring the point. There is absolutely NO evidence that that note is telling the truth. The only true romanizations you get are from databooks or if the mangaka romanizes the name in a manga chapter. Like Mashima did with Gajeel and Juvia with that manga special. Which has been the point the entire time. I've been saying that there is no evidence that ANY of the names ever used were actually provided by Mashima himself. We never said that you must use the new names to refer to the characters, as most people still prefer the fan translated names. As long as the names on the articles still matches the names given from the English volumes, and there aren't any complaints from anyone else, everything will be fine. It's said that Lyon is already taking S-Class Jobs in his guild (Chapter 135). Shouldn't he be considered an S-Class Mage? I mean, if he's allowed to take such jobs, obviously he's an S-Class Mage, right? MiraMajin

S-Class jobs can be taken by non S-Class Mages if they have an S-Class Mage with them. This doesn't mean Lyon is S-Class. He's never been stated outright to be one.

Furthermore, you're incorrect about Gildarts. He was stated to be an S-Class Mage a number of times. See here for one example.

I see the discussion is over lol but I was going to say.. what was your source? I checked multiple manga sites and only a few sites bothered to translate the description within the cover page, where it stated that he was taking "top-level jobs". That didn't really specify much... .:Umy:.

Ice Make Clone[]
I was wondering why Ice-Make: Clone isn't mentioned among Lyon's abilities. He did use it twice in Galuna Arc so it must be more significant than Mouse lmao. Profile / Talk 09:10, September 11, 2015 (UTC)
