Why the anime called it Hosenka[]
I'm fairly sure some people are wondering why there are 3 names (Balsam from Scanslation, Impatiens from Del Rey, and Hosenka from Anime) for the same village Team Natsu went to. Well, Hōsenka (鳳仙花, as presented in the raw), is the Japanese name for Impatiens balsamina, where Balsam came from. This is also why in the Del Rey version, they said Team Natsu went to Impatiens Village rather than Hōsenka or Balsam.
So what does this mean? Currently I'm thinking if we should change the name to Hōsenka, Impatiens, or keep it as Balsam. As most of us would agree, scanslation names isn't the most trustworthy names, so I'm asking for your opinion, change or keep? ChaosKnight 20:04, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
I'd go with Impatiens since that's as authentic as we can get. Anime probably didn't consult with Hiro, maybe? And scanlators are just... Scanlators :) .:Umy:. 20:28, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
Mashima does't give locations' names too, does he? Though I'd say Balsam since thats what we've been using... RelikzTalk 21:23, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
