With the Reborn Oración Seis having possession of the Infinity Clock, Fairy Tail decides to split out into some teams to take them on. Cana Alberona, using her cards, selects the teams and their destinations. Of the teams selected is composed of Gray Fullbuster and Freed Justine,[1] who travel to their designated location through the use of a motor boat.[2]
Inside a crystallized cavern, they discover Angel, who comments on how handsome the two men are. Freed recognizes her as one of the Reborn Oración Seis. Suddenly, Dan Straight appears and goes happily towards Angel. Freed asks who he is and is told that the Legionnaire is associated with the Zentopia Church.[3]
Angel summons Shamsiel, angel of sunlight, and orders him to attack her opponents. Shamsiel flies towards them, and his funny appearance leads Dan to wrongly underestimate him, only for him to be easily hit by one of Shamsiel's fists. Freed and Gray both attack with Dark Écriture: Pain and Ice-Make: Saucer, but neither of the spells are able to seriously damage the stone angel. Shamsiel claims the attacks tickle him and begins to fire a light beam at the duo.[3] The attack hits both and greatly injures them, effectively leaving both unable to continue the fight.[4]
Following the fight, Shamsiel discovers a Celestial Spirit Mage and captures him. While being spied upon by a hidden Dan, Angel holds her ruby dagger and performs the Anti-Link on the mage, virtually killing him in the process. She says that they need only two more Mages and that her Guild's plan is almost complete, causing her to laugh darkly. Gray witness this whole event but passes out before he can do anything.[4]
