Warren communicates with the team

After the Archbishop is freed from the mind control, thanks to Wendy's efforts, Happy understands that all of the Reborn Oración Seis need to be defeated for the Infinity Clock to be deactivated. Having found this out, Warren uses his Telepathy Magic to relay the information to one of Fairy Tail's other teams, who are elsewhere in the Infinity Clock seeking Lucy, making them determined to defeat the Reborn Oración Seis. Erza meets Cobra, who wishes to fight her again so she stays behind, allowing the team to continue forward. Shortly after, the group encounters Angel, who Gray volunteers to fight promising that he will do better against her this time. Last of all, Gajeel decides to fight Midnight and Klodoa by himself, frustrating Natsu because he wanted to fight Midnight himself. Elfman picks up an angry Natsu and continues towards the core of the Infinity Clock, leaving Gajeel to fight Midnight alone. Gajeel begins by asking Midnight if he is the leader of the Reborn Oración Seis, which Midnight replies to by asking if he is one of Fairy Tail's underlings and Gajeel states that he will have to find out for himself.[1]

Battle

Midnight reflects Club

Midnight reflects Gajeel's first attack

Gajeel begins the battle by launching himself in the air and attacks from a distance using his Iron Dragon's Club, which Midnight reflects using his Reflector Magic, commenting that Gajeel is a Dragon Slayer too. Gajeel, his initial attack being reflected, comments that Midnight's Reflector is annoying, causing Klodoa to taunt Gajeel by asking him if he is the one they call Iron Gajeel and taunting him by saying his brain must be made of iron too, which causes Gajeel to yell at him and attack him with Iron Dragon's Lance: Demon Logs and Iron Dragon's Roar, both of which are reflected by Midnight.[1]

Midnight reflects Roar

Midnight reflects Gajeel's second attack

As Midnight is reflecting his Iron Dragon's Roar, Gajeel appears behind him and tries launching a sneak attack but is countered when Midnight reflects his Iron Dragons Roar into him, slamming him into the surroundings. But much to Midnight's surprise, Gajeel creeps up behind him and cuts him down with his Iron Dragon's Sword, which is revealed to be a decoy enabling Midnight to appear behind him and hit Gajeel with Spiral Pain sending him through a wall and out of the Infinity Clock.[1]

Gajeel is then flung from the Infinity Clock and begins to fall down, when he is noticed by Gildarts, who attempts to catch him by using a nearby pillar as leverage so he can reach out to Gajeel. But their combined weight causes the pillar to collapse, dragging them both down and causing Gildarts to fall with Gajeel.[1]
