Lightning Update Tribe

The Lightning Update Tribe is an official team of the Fairy Tail Wiki, under the Referencia Guild. This team is a group of users who have the task of updating the contents of the wiki whenever the new chapter is released to the public. These users are dedicated in making sure that all new information added are grammatically correct, properly referenced and illustrated.

Creation

Noticing that some of the pages are outdated, B j suggested to Rai to open a team that would be responsible for updating them whenever the new chapter comes out. Rai agreed and opened a forum, asking people who are interested to sign up. Several people signed up for the team and Rai picked whom he thought would be good at doing the job. After deciding on the team mascot and team name, the Lightning Update Tribe was declared official.

Roles of the Lightning Update Tribe

The following are the duties of the Lightning Update Tribe:

1. To update the character pages of all the characters that appeared in the recent chapter.
2. To update the arc summaries when the recent chapter is released.
3. To check over the summaries done by nonmembers.

The following are not the duties of the Lightning Update Tribe:

1. To update the character pages of all the characters that appeared in the recent episode. That is the job of the Anime Summary Guild.
2. To create articles for new Magic, spells, characters, locations, fights, events, etc. Members are free to do so but are not required and will not be credited.

Former Mages

Process

Unlike other teams, this team works similarly with the guilds. One member would post all the characters that appeared in the most recent chapter when it is released. The members will then complete the jobs. When a Mage completes a job, they will be awarded jewels that vary depending on the character that they picked. At the end of the month, IamJakuhoRaikoben would tally all the points and award the title Mage of the Month to whomever earned the most jewels, Runner-up to the whoever earned the second most and 3rd place to whoever won the third most. If you see a job that you want to take, simply put Taken by and your signature, minus the time stamp, next to the name of the character. Once you are finished simply replace it with Completed by and it will be checked for completion.

Joining the Lightning Update Tribe

If you wish to join the Team, fill out the application below and post it on the team talk page, and after your application has been reviewed, Omega natsu2 will add your name to the list of members.
If you wish to join the team, please keep in mind the following requirements:

• Must read the manga (obviously)
• Must have good spelling/grammar skills
• Must know how to reference
• Must be a good judge of image placement
• Must have at least 250 article edits
• Must be an active user of the wiki
• Must be familiar with all of our policies (especially the in-universe policy & speculation policy)

If you think that you have satisfied the above requirements, leave a message on the team's talk page. If you are deemed qualified by the team leader, you would be added to the list of members. All users must not be anonymous users. If you wish to join the team, you must create an account.

Excommunication from the Lightning Update Tribe

Unlike guilds and other teams, the Lightning Update Tribe is more strictly controlled. Any user who are inactive for one week and/or does little job for the team would be excommunicated. However, this rule does not apply when you are inactive from the wiki itself due to health reasons, family problems, exams, etc.

Overdue Jobs

Jobs that are not completed before Monday after the new chapter is released will be placed under this section. Please note that if your job is placed here it means that you will lose 50% of the amount of jewels all of your jobs tally up to. 75% will be lost if you finish it by Wednesday. However, if the first person that took that job removes his/her signature and you decide to take it, you will not lose any jewels, you will receive an extra 5%. But you MUST place the letters: KM (Stands for Kagura Mikazuchi) next to it, or I will NOT give you that extra 5%. Though this might sound harsh, not having your jobs done one or two days after the new chapter is released will make our team's name lose its value.
Exceptions:

1. Family emergency.
2. If you are IamJakuhoRaikoben.
3. Internet problems.
