Eve Tearm vs. Midnight is a fight fought between Mage of Blue Pegasus, Eve Tearm and Dark Mage of Oración Seis, Midnight.

PrologueEdit

In order to find Wendy and save Erza, the Light Team agree to split up.^[1] Eve and Ren form a group and encounters the Dark Guild, Dark Unicorn Guild.^[2] After defeating the members of Dark Unicorn, Eve and Ren continue their search for Wendy when a pillar of light appears in the middle of the forest. Seeing that the light is somehow affecting the trees, the two conclude that the light is Nirvana. Ren tries to contact Hibiki but fails when the Magical Energy interferes with the connection. The two decide to split up with Eve continuing to look for Wendy while Ren investigates the light.^[3]

BattleEdit

As Eve searches for Wendy, he encounters Midnight. Seeing Midnight's strength, Eve tries to escape. He uses his White Fury attack to give him time to escape but it is ineffective and Midnight manages to catch up with him and attack him with his Magic. Eve begins to cower, commenting that his Magic won't hit Midnight. Midnight then approaches him and uses his Magic causing Eve to scream in pain.^[4][5]

AftermathEdit

Eve later recovers and helps operate Blue Pegasus' Magical Bomber, Christina, with Hibiki, Ren, Sherry and Lyon. Eve uses his Magic, along with Christina's Magical Ammunition, to destroy one of Nirvana's legs, stopping Brain from destroying Cait Shelter Guild.^[6]

As Hibiki relays the information on how to destroy Nirvana to the Mages of the Light Team riding Nirvana, Zero, the Master of Oración Seis, intercepts the telepathy and informs them of Natsu and the others' defeat at his hands. He adds that he himself is standing in front of one of the lacrima powering Nirvana and that if he is not defeated, Nirvana cannot be stopped. As the Light Team members on the Christina collapse out of Magic loss, they inspire the defeated members of Team Natsu somewhere inside Nirvana. Although exhausted, Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster and Happy get up from the ground and are back in the battle of light and darkness once again.^[7]
