Hybrid Theory is the 470th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.

The battered Wizard Saints retaliate against the traitorous God Serena, but, with victory in their grasp, God Serena unleashes his true strength, revealing himself to be a Dragon Slayer in control of eight different Dragon Slayer Magics. With this, the Wizard Saints are defeated anew, and God Serena, August and Jacob begin to make for Fairy Tail. However, Acnologia appears and kills God Serena to start his hunt for the death of the Dragon Slayers.

Summary

Draculos uses his ability

Promising Warrod to put him out of misery, God Serena raises his hand to perform the deed. As Warrod thinks about Mavis, he considers these to be his last moments, vowing to take God Serena down with him by causing several trees to appear and trap his enemy. With God Serena surprised, Wolfheim swiftly stands up and transforms into his beast form, charging at the former and punching him, followed by Jura's stone fist attack. The strongest Wizard Saint begins to praise them, however, before he can finish, he feels the effects of Draculos' Vampire Magic, something that even August commends.

	Acnologia enters the battlefield

Seeing God Serena's suffering, Jacob gets ready to assist him, but is stopped by August, who reassures him that there is no room for concern and proposes that they simply watch God Serena's true power as the enraged latter uses his power, releasing an array attacks that the Wizard Saints have no answer for, regarding his huge amount of power. However, August's swift warning stops this attack, with the battle being over and Jacob comments on the spectacle he's just seen, revealing that God Serena possesses eight different Dragon Lacrima inside his body. With August revealing God Serena's title as "Hybrid Theory," the group decides to depart, heading for Fairy Tail. Just as Warrod wishes for someone to stop them from reaching the guild, everyone present then suddenly feel a powerful Magic, revealing it to come from none other than Acnologia who comments on the presence of a dragon. God Serena's shocked expression switches to a wicked grin, however, before he can do anything, in an instant, Acnologia rips through his body and everyone watches in shock as the strongest Wizard Saint falls to the ground. Acnologia reveals his intention of massacring the remaining seven Dragon Slayers, departing with God Serena left out for dead.
