The Fight to Flee is the 447th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.

As Team Natsu, Mest and Makarov have their escape cut off by Ajeel Ramal and are forced to make a stand, Ichiya, Team B, and the Thunder God Tribe arrive on the scene aboard an airborne vessel. Laxus temporarily pushes back the Shield of Spriggan and the Mages manage to escape.

SummaryEdit

Having no choice but to battle Ajeel, the Fairy Tail Mages ready themselves for the confrontation. But the Spriggan 12 member proves too much for them as he easily negates their attacks and proceeds to trap them in his sand. Makarov retaliates and turns gigantic, grabbing hold of his protesting Mages. As their opponent moves to annihilate them, using his Sands of Death, Makarov claims that he will protect his guild's members no matter what.

Suddenly, lightning from the sky strikes the battlefield, swiftly dispersing the sand. Everybody is surprised to see Blue Pegasus' ship above them with Laxus Dreyar standing firmly on the top of it. The Dragon Slayer greets his comrades while they are awed by his overwhelming power. The team on the ground realizes that Gajeel and some of their other guildmates are also aboard the vessel as Mest teleports them onto it, where they exchange pleasantries with the Thunder God Tribe.

Laxus Nuclear Strike

Laxus gives Ajeel a taste of his power

On the ground, Ajeel refuses to let his "prey" escape, but Laxus tells him that they're not running, but simply returning home and directs a huge lightning blast at him. When the Ishgar Mages escape, Ajeel notices that he is unharmed due to August's help. However, when the latter tells the Desert Emperor to be more careful, Ajeel replies that he could have easily taken the attack.

Meanwhile, as the Blue Pegasus ship heads back to Ishgar with its occupants rejoicing about all of Fairy Tail finally being reunited, Zeref Dragneel, who is present in Vistarion, states that an ominous event has begun.
